This is a huge disappointment for me. Box Drive is implemented in a way that doesn't allow for the native Spotlight search to work and so I can even do something simple like search all my excel files and sort by modification date. I haven't seen this issue with competitive programs - and seeing that this was requested almost 4 years ago tells me you're not likely to implement.
