Automatic classification based on filename
We would like to be able to automatically classify certain files based on filename. We have files of a certain type, that always have the same file extension, that are always high-value assets for us. To be able to automatically classify these and change permissions around external sharing for them would be a big win for us. Without it, we either have to educate our users to always classify these manually, or be content with the possibility of them being outside our security preferences. However, we should also be able to un-classify them, in the rare event that one of these sensitive files DOES need to be shared externally. The easiest approach I can think of is to apply automatic classification at upload time, and allow the user (or maybe an admin) to change it later.

Auto-classification by file extension was just released

Automatically classifying files based on file type (file extension) is on roadmap.
On a side note, ability for a user to make an exception (by selecting one of the justification reasons predefined by Admin) for a file with a classification that restricts on certain collaboration is also on the roadmap. Should address the rare case that even it is classified a user can still share it with external parties.(Edited by admin)
