We would like to have the ablilty to create two folders in different places within our BOX environment and for these two folder to stay sync
We would like to have the ability to create two folders in different places within our BOX environment and for these two folder to stay sync'd. If we add a file into one folder it is added to the other folder also. If we remove a file from one of the folders it is removed from the other folder. What ever change takes place in one folder is duplicated in it's sync'd folder

box for individual
Add more plan options for individuals. 100GB is not enough to store hardly any of my data.

The support for large contents migration Snowball(AWS) type of migration should be supported by Box.
Snowball(AWS) type of migration should be supported by Box. Especially the customers who have tons of files/folders as TB/PB level has a hard time for content to move from Windows servers to Cloud systems like Box.

Support for some special letters from other languages
I think it's kind of a bug or i don't know: when the file i try to upload have in it's name "not so ordinary" characters i will get an error. Letters like these ones, with symbols: ä, á, ç, é, ñ, etc, there are others, you get the point. Just sayin`...

Partial file writing API
I want the API feature that updates only a part of the file .
Currently, I download entire file, and then write and upload it.
It is inefficient when if only want a few changes.1 vote -

The Python sample for "Create upload session" seems wrong:
What you provided is:
filesize = 26000000
uploadsession = client.file('11111').createuploadsession(file_size)But it should be:
client.folder('11111').createuploadsession(filesize, filesize).Please check and confirm.

Folder Integration App can't use API to upload file to a folder if user has Uploader permission
- I set the various Uploader permissions (Uploader, Viewer Uploader, Previewer Uploader) on a folder, but was not able to use our Folder Integration Quick Scan app to upload a scanned file to those folders.
- I had to use Owner/Editor permissions to upload a scanned file through our application and the Box API.
Why is Box not letting our application upload a file when the Uploader permission is set on a folder?
Thanks.

Updated needed for Firefox and Internet Explorer for "Share Folder" task.
When attempting to "Share Folder" in Box, when signed in through Firefox OR Internet Explorer, an error occurs. The only work-around we have found is by using Google Chrome. This feature worked just fine in Firefox only a week ago. Please repair.

Add the ability to turn off auditing
Add the ability to turn off auditing at the folder level as and administrator function this would eliminate a need for products like Diligent

Direct DICOM upload endpoint desired
Our admin would rather not use the DICOM import tool to upload DICOM images to use with the Viewer (and they don't have a PAC server). We're also uploading non-DICOM files that are relevant to the study, so having two separate UIs for an upload is inconvenient.
1 voteThank you for this request. However, we will not be focusing on this feature this year. We will revisit this with additional demand.

If a user invites a collaborator, that they receive an error message if that email does not exist.
Right now, if a user invites someone using an email that does not exist, it just remains in pending.

Just in time User Provisioning / Licensing
The current way of licensing is old school. Instead, you could leverage Okta's just-in-time provisioning: https://help.okta.com/en/prev/Content/Topics/Security/Security_Authentication.htm?cshid=Security_Authentication_JIT#Security_Authentication_JIT
Then (with SSO required & on the fly), Box grants everyone in an org an acct after logging in thru SSO, they're auto-provisioned a Box instance, and a license is registered/"billed" to company.

Provide event trigger for renaming a file for webhooks.
Create a script to automatically rename files that have had their name changed. This would be easier if there was an event trigger so that we could proactively run the script using a web hook.
We can run a script once a day or something to do this based on a lookup table with folder IDs and the names we are SUPPOSED to have.

Automatically change file modified date upon upload if modified date is out of range and upload fails
We are trying to upload files that have a modified date of year 1600. We would like for Box to automatically change the modified date upon upload instead of the upload failing
If files have a modified date outside the UNIX range (1970-2038), the upload will fail.
1 voteThank you for the submission. There are no current plans to change this behavior for this individual use case. We will reconsider with additional demand.

Query-less search
Add intelligent search by location, date, etc. but the Search API requires a query. I recommended setting the query to the file extension.
