Box Shield Smart Access - Require approval when doing a Business Justification override of a Classification
I want to allow team members to override a Box Shield Classification/Access Policy with a Business Justification ONLY IF the appropriate person approves the override.
"Appropriate person" would be 100% configurable and different across different Classification Labels. Options like:
- Person who created the Classification Label
- Main Admin or Co-Admin with appropriate permissions
- An assigned authorized person or group (e.g. legal, compliance, infosec, IT, folder or file owner).E.g. scenario #1: "Highly Classified" label - only Admin, Co-Admin with Shield permission, xxx person in InfoSec, or yyy person in IT could approve the override.
E.g. scenario #2: "Internal…

Require approval when sharing content with a business justification
Current access policy allows for external collaboration with a valid business justification, but we would also like to have the admin or folder owner approve the request to share externally, before the collaboration is sent. The current design doesn't allow for any validation and could potentially lead to content being shared with a restricted audience. Once the exception is approved, the collaboration could be set.

Ability to update the "Learn More" Classification Link
Box customers would like the ability to update the “Learn more” URL to a customer specific Classification Policy URL.They want to add the URL to their own Data Classification Policy that users can access as a reference. The URL that the customer would like to add is specific to the Data Classification Policy and not intended for Help or support URL to contact. They would like users to be able to refer to the policy for more information. Specifically, replace the “Learn more” URL which has nothing to do with data classification (the URL is about Box community). The admins…

Notify user on corrupt file upload
We should be able to notify a user when the file he just uploaded is detected by shield as corrupted.
The notification could be sent by mail or by notification on the website, depending on the configuration given by the user. This feature is relly important on a legal base, because each user should have the ability to correct his own mistake.

Allow Shield List of Countries Usable for Access Policies
There may be certain countries a Box customer may be prohibited from sharing with under any circumstance. I suggest making it possible to whitelist or blacklist entire countries by allowing Shield Lists of countries to be included in Access Policies.

Shield Shared Links: Password Requirement
Passwords for public links are wonderful, however, the capability to enforce all links (even those with internal or collaborator scope) would be beneficial for users and content security. If this password requirement could be tied to classifications as an access policy, that would make it increasingly difficult for negligent or malicious actions on Box content. Currently, we can only decrease the scope available for shared links, but by requiring a password, there will be additional adoption for Box and Shield, especially within highly regulated industries that require external or public distribution of content.

Access Control Restrictions by user
As a administrator, I would like the ability to turn off certain Access Control Restrictions across all collaborators vs. limiting it to specific collaborator roles.
Example:
Download / Print Restrictions.we would still like users to leverage the app but, not allow them to download/print to their mobile device. Yes, the app function can be disable enterprise-wide but, we want to limit it to a specific function within the mobile app regardless of their collaborator role.

Box Shield Add-on for Splunk compatibllity with jquery 3.5
Will the 'Box Shield Add-on for Splunk' be updated to be compatible with jquery 3.5? Currently Splunk is running upgrade guidance that all apps should be and this seems to be an outlier. This is for version 1.1.1

Box Shield - Request to change pop-up message when requesting reason for invitation
The Box Shield function is configured to ask for the reason for the invitation when inviting external users.
I would like to see a change in the wording of the pop-up when asking for the reason for the invitation.[Current]
In conjunction with the pull-down display of the reason for the invitation.
"Remove one user instead and continue" will be displayed.[Change Requested]
Along with the display of the invitation reason pull-down.
"Remove the user who is preventing the invitation from being invited instead and continue" is displayed.~~Japanese~~

Shield classification user permissions
Request to make classification application settings specific to the classification. Currently, the setting for who can apply/remove a classification is for all classifications, but there are cases where it would be helpful that a classification to be only applied by owners and other where co-owner, or even editor would be allowed to apply certain classifications.
Examples:
1. A classification tied to a Shield access control rule that only owners can apply or remove
2. A classification tied to a Shield access control rule that owner/co-owners can apply or remove
3. A classification identifying a type of content that owners/co-owner/editors can…25 votesNot a priority. Will revisit in 6 months.

Search document properties in Automated Classification
When exporting design files into PDFs, document properties are often saved alongside the files to designate the sensitivity - for instance, a document may be labeled "confidential".
If we could search for custom terms in these document properties, we could catch some of the classifications already going on.

Add additional details in the the virus detection notification email
During this time (2022/02/28, Monday, 13:00), I received a virus detection notification email.
When I checked the contents, the upload date by virus detection notification email is 2020/06/16 9:36:17 JST,
Neither the target file was found in the path of the email presentation.I contacted MKI Box Support Desk.
We received the following answers."The virus scan seems to be rescanned accordingly based on the activity of the file, not only at the time of upload.
The frequency of scans is determined by the number of file activity.
It can be difficult to explain the consistency of when this notification…1 vote -
Access policies for individual folders
Would it be possible to set up access policies that can be applied per-folder instead of by Classification label?
We have Ethical Walls and security concerns where we need to prevent sharing of files of Client A with Client B and also with preventing individual users from being shared folders.
One way to do this would be classification policies - but I have far more clients than the twenty five label limit.
The way around this would be to allow access policies by folder, regardless of classification, as well as the Box-wide access policy for unclassified content.

Make classification labels visible without selection
Currently you must select a folder to see if it's classified. A customer of mine would prefer to see that a folder is classified without having to select it.

BOX SHIELD - Block all applications from downloading content
The following feature is redundant:
Block all applications from downloading content - No integrated applications (except Microsoft Office for the web, Google Workspace, Apple iWork, and Adobe Acrobat Online) or published custom applications will be able to download content protected by the access policy.
I thought the purpose of Box Shield was to protect organizations from data breaches????
We have configured everything within our box account to prevent certain data from being download or printed. However, Box gives our users the option to open these confidential files in Adobe Acrobat which then allows them to download, print, and anything else…

Smart Access: Allow move/copy even with download restriction
Download restriction restricts external users (editor permission) from moving content within folders they have access to. There should be an option to restrict download but also allow for moving and copying within folders that have the classification policy because to an end user, this is not a download function.
