Save the actual name of past collaborators on box rather than have them named prior collaborator
Would like to have the ability to keep the name of a past collaborator on a Box file instead of it being named past collaborator

Very important issue. We lose traceability on Tasks and comments. Our users are now moving back to a paper solution to make audit requirements. Essentially makes the Approval Tasks useless.

Unbelievable that this is not planned An audit trail with 'A Prior Collaborator' would just not be acceptable to an auditor looking for an audit trail. A huge failing in my opinion.

This is extremely important especially now with remote working and a lot of approvals being done in Box. An audit trail with 'A Prior Collaborator' would just not be acceptable to an auditor looking for an audit trail. A huge failing in my opinion.

I vote yes for all the reasons previously spelled out.

yes - this is super important from an audit trail perspective to retain this information after termination

I don't need to beat a dead horse, I second all that comments here. It is really bad the original account name is removed, and/or former ownership is not easily audited. I'm surprised this doesn't have more votes and that Box isn't thinking about this as a natural design/feature. Please do this!

This feature is critical to maintaining internal audit trails of approvals over time. Without this feature, you may end up with document approvals from "A Prior Collaborator" not allowing a clear chain of custody and approval within a document task, or comment section.

This is crucial. As people start leaving the company, all documents generated by them would be marked "Prior Collaborator" which would, on the long run, create a lot of confusion for all staff as well as admins. Please keep the names of past collaborators.

This issue is giving me as Admin a rather long process to kick former employees from our system but still retain the information about their past doings in Box. It would be a lot easier if I could keep the users domain email but as for now this is apparently not allowed.
