2. Allow admins and folder owners to control visibility of the "Email All" button

   We would like the ability to control the visibility of the "Email All" button at both the Enterprise level and the folder level.
   Proposed behavior:
   Enterprise admins can enable or disable the "Email All" button globally via the Admin Console.
   At the folder level, co-owners and above (including owners) can toggle the visibility of the button for that specific folder.
   Why this matters:In our organization, senior executives are often added as collaborators on folders. The "Email All" button makes it easy for any collaborator to send a message to all members of a folder — including those executives — which can lead to unnecessary or inappropriate communications reaching them.
   By allowing this button to be hidden based on permission level or folder settings, admins and folder owners would have better control over internal communication flows and could prevent unwanted disruptions to executives.
   We believe this would benefit organizations that need tighter governance over collaboration features.

3. Make the "Mobile Web Access Control" setting in the management console applicable to the current domain (box.com) as well

   As a result of Box consolidating its mobile sites from “a.box.com” and “m.box.com” into “box.com,” the “Mobile Web and Accessibility” settings in the Admin Console are not being applied to the current domain. Consequently, even if administrators enable these controls, they do not affect mobile access under box.com.
   At our company, we use Intune policies to prevent Box files from being saved locally on corporate iPhones. Safari is not subject to Intune policies. Because the “Mobile Web Access Control” settings currently cannot enforce restrictions, users can access Box via Safari on corporate iPhones and save Box files locally, creating a risk of corporate information being taken off the device and potential data leakage. In addition, this breaks alignment with existing controls provided by Box—such as EMM management, Device Trust, and Conditional Access—impacting the overall consistency of Box’s security design.
   We use Box as a secure, enterprise-grade storage solution. Inconsistencies in security settings affect Box’s trustworthiness within our organization, so we request a prompt remedy.

5. I am a fan of central management of users. One feature is the admin's ability to create password for the accounts.

   As long as I have known box, there should be a feature that allows the admin of the company account. to create users and assign their passwords. This is a key factor in central management and control. It is almost a red flag for me, on implenetation.

7. Enable Admins to Recover Deleted Users Without Submitting Support Tickets

   Occasionally, Admins can delete a user (or large group of users) for one reason or another (license re-allocation, deleting users based off of perceived inactivity, etc.). Sometimes these users need to be recovered quickly to give users access to their Box account once again if this was done by mistake. The ultimate goal would be to enable Admins who have the ability to manage users to recover deleted accounts on their own (whether through somewhere in the admin console and/or via the CLI or API) so that product support doesn't need to do so through a support ticket as a manual service request

9. Add "Open in New Tab" toggle for Link URL for "Help Instructions and Footer Text" and "Support Contact Information"

   It would be helpful if there was a toggle that controlled the behavior when clicking on a Link URL for "Help Instructions and Footer Text" or "Support Contact Information" if you wanted to link to an Intranet Webpage. With this control, you could set these links to open in a new tab instead of the current tab.

   Neither of the Link URL allow HTML code and I understand why, but it would certainly avoid some headaches for users who can never remember to hold CTRL when clicking on a link (as well as IT who receive complaints about the page navigating away from Box).

11. Change the word of the Reauthorize button for custom apps

    After changing the scope of a custom app that was created in the past from the Developer Console, the admin must re-authorize the app.
    After sending the authorization request, if you open the app details page from [Admin Console > Integrations > Platform Apps Manager > Target App], the scope before the change is displayed.
    We can check the scope after the change by clicking the Reauthorize button in the upper right corner of the screen and displaying the popup.
    After that, app approval is completed by clicking the Reauthorize button in the pop-up.

    However, the button on the app's details page says "Reauthorize," which leads admin to mistakenly believe that clicking the button will complete the app's authorize.
    Please change the display to something like "Confirm Details" instead of "Reauthorize" to avoid misunderstandings.

12. Additional Sorting Options for Managed Users in Users & Groups

    I would like to request the addition of more sorting options for Managed Users in the Users & Groups console.

    Currently, sorting is limited to Name, Email, and Storage Used.

    It would be extremely helpful to include the following:

    1. Sort by Last Activity
       Enables identification of users who have never accessed Box or who are inactive.
       Helps admins determine which accounts can potentially be cleaned up or require follow‑up.

    2. Sort by Status
       Allows quick visibility into which users are disabled in Box.
       Supports faster lifecycle management and removal of stale or unused accounts.

    While this information is available through reports, having it directly accessible in the admin console would streamline user management workflows and reduce reliance on report exports.

13. Retention policies should lift automatically even if disposition action is set to "none"

    Retention policies should be lifted automatically at the end of the retention period. Currently, if the disposition action is set to "none" the folder will not be released from the policy even though the folder will be able to be deleted. This is very confusing and requires manual work on the admin's part to determine if the retention period is up on a folder and if it is able to be deleted.

    Alternately, build retention as a trigger into Relay/Workflows as mentioned in a different idea so that the Relay can automatically take the folder out of retention when the period is up.

14. Expired Shared Link lookup for Admins

    Problem: Admins often need to do investigation of files stored in Box and all they have to go off of is the file/folder's shared link.

    Many times, users are reaching out to Technical Support because a Shared Link is Expired.

    Key Features:
    -Provide ability to enter an Expired shared link (standard or vanity URL)
    -Information returned after searching:
    -File/folder name
    -File/folder owner
    -File/folder location (Owner -> Folder hierarchy)
    -Status (whether the file/folder has been deleted or not)
    -Admin-level 'delete' (ability for the admin to delete the file on the spot)

15. Log in as “AutomationUser” from the new UI Content Manager

    Content: Currently, it is possible to log in as a proxy via the Content Manager of the old UI, but it is not possible to log in as a proxy on the new UI.
    If the user is a managed user, you can log in as a proxy from the "Users and Groups" screen, but since AutomationUser is not displayed on the "Users and Groups" screen, you will need to log in as a proxy from Content Manager.
    Since not being able to log in as an AutomationUser has a large impact on our business, we would like this functionality to be improved.

16. Notify Owners and Co-Owner on colaborators expiry

    It seems that today only the colaborators are infomed prior to colaborator expiry. From my poinbt of view it would be important, that both Owners and Co-Owners receive the expiry information too. I our setup Box system users own all level 0 shared folders, so Co-Owners would be required to receive the notifications as well.

18. External Users sortable columns and bulk deletion based on last active date

    Box makes it easier thru the Admin console GUI in the near future.
    For External Users a sortable column of “Last Active” and then bulk deletion is needed in the Admin GUI.

    It would also be nice to have the option in Security to set a threshold like 90 days inactive for External Users before auto-delete to manage this automatically going forward.

    I should be able to view emails on my suppression list. I appreciate the ability to remove addresses from it myself, but not being able to see which email addresses you are blocking creates situations wherein I do not know someone isn't getting mail until after they have missed at least one message.

20. Remove Platform App Change Approval Requirement & Improve SDK/API support

    I currently have a production issue (all key functionality is severely impaired, on par with an outage) as a result of failed API calls and because changing App Platform settings requires the approval of a Box Enterprise Admin review and approval. There is no ETA on how long this will take: days, weeks, months? Other community posts echo this concern and there were no concrete answers provided. This is revenue impacting and needs attention in the next 12 hours. While I understand this is not an enterprise account and there are only so many admins that can review these requests, this workflow is not sustainable, the requirement could be removed, simply by putting stricter security rules and guardrails in place and letting the user be responsible for their settings with legal binding agreements, etc. AWS demonstrates this wonderfully.
