Folder colors
In Box it is not very easy to see what foders are shared externally. There are small globe icons on the collaborators, but if that list is too long, the external collaborator might not show up.
Apart from that: the list of collaborators is not visible in Box Drive.
Box should introduce a new Folder type (different color, different icon) to show that information in this folder is shared with external collaborators. This functionality should be available across all clients (Web, Drive, Mobile).

Really need a better way for individuals to organize folders on their Box Drive
I see some ideas under consideration, and amazingly adding Collections to Box Drive is not one of them. Box Drive urgently needs a better way for individual users to organize contents without affecting the online heirachy for everyone else

Add "disable for select users" as a Box Drive Mark for Offline option
A global Box customer is looking to disable MFO (Marking for Offline) for a selected users.
This would be a "symmetrical" counter-option to the existing "enable for select users", and also similar to how some other features can be managed within Box Admin Console, making the MFO options more consistent with broader Box experience for admins.2 votes -
Ability to logout and delete cache from Box Drive on OS reboot
Currently, it is necessary to logout/login to clear the cache and errors, but this is troublesome.
The burden of performing this operation on a regular basis is on the end user.It would be easier to use if the logout/deletion of the cache could be done on OS reboot.
（If it automatically re-logon after restarting OS, that would be even better)現状ではキャッシュやエラーをクリアするためにログアウト/ログインする必要がありますが、これは手間がかかります。

Box Drive to support Windows AutoPilot installation
Currently, when Microsoft Windows AutoPilot is used to install Box Drive, it fails as Box Drive restarts Explorer.exe during the installation.

"Your Download is In Progress" pop-up confuses clients
When a client of ours who is not a Box user downloads a file, a pop-up which says "Your Download is In Progress" appears. The issue is that the pop-up looks like there are only three courses of action, “sign up”, “log in”, or “x” out. Many of our clients have not realized that there is a fourth option, which is just wait for the download. This has caused confusion time and time again across different clients at different times. Enhanced automatic locking of read-only files
Allow users to choose to lock or not lock the read-only configuration file instead of automatically locking it.
It also prevents the read-only attribute from being automatically released when auto-unlocked.

Ability to copy/duplicate files
My local City sends out links to files that expire in 30 days or so.
Currently I download those files, then upload them back to box,net.The "copy" feature for such links seems to copy the links, not create a safe local copy of the data.

Tags and comments in Box Drive
Is there a way to see the tags in Box Drive? Right now I have to view box on the browser to see the tags for each file. Is there some option to view the tags in Box Drive without having to go to box.com each time?

Enhancement for Box Drive Auto lock/unlock
We would like to see the lock owner name and the duration when a user opens a locked file. Also, we would like to get a notification when the lock gets released

Scheduled Lock/Unlock capability
Add a feature that where owners can set up a reoccurring automated lock and unlock for day and time of the week. Same as you see in office outlook for reoccurring meetings, but with a locked file. This way users can only access the file/log during specific times and the owner can work the file when it's locked again. Currently, this is all manual and can cause issues when a report is still locked and users in different time zones need to add items to a log before a specific time in PST. Avoid files loss upon uninstall
The current uninstall app, on macOS, doesn't check on the syncing status of files. It erases the unsynced and cache folders directly, not even moving them to the system Trash.

Ability to adjust document autosave sensitivity (if not, it makes version history obsolete )
Recently noticed our company document autosaves are soaking up all of our version histories. Box Drive is reading every time a document is edited and autosaved as a new version. Even if you are actively editing the document it still is reading all autosaves the document itself is doing. For Mac Office, this occurs about every minute and there's no way to adjust it. I remember Box Drive being able to know if the document was edited or not upon close or save. This allowed for our version history to go back several months instead of several hours. Very bad…

Box Drive Bandwidth Usage - Can I pause or limit?
"Every time my Box Drive is syncing large (200-500mb) files, it uses as much bandwidth as it can. While in the office, this was rarely an issue. But, working from home, the rest of my household notices very slow internet while I am syncing files. "
Please add a feature that allows us to limit the bandwidth of Box Drive.

Box drive's system extension update
I am running BoxDrive version 2.23.422
After I upgrade my Mac (for example, from BigSur 11.5 -> 11.6), I get an error dialog the first time I try to open Box Drive. It says "Box Drive's system extension failed to load. Please make sure it has been enabled in System Preferences > Security & Privacy and then restart your computer. ....".
Reinstalling Box Drive and restarting the computer doesn't fix it. I found a workaround at https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360051323454-Box-Drive-s-system-extension-failed-to-load which fixes it, but I have to apply that workaround each time I upgrade my computer. Box Drive Backup Controls
Please allow me to use Box Drive to backup files to the cloud (not sync them). Allow me to designate folders where I add files that are (a) added to the cloud and (b) removed from local storage. Allow me to choose when the removal happens (e.g. every night at midnight).

One of the link icons should merely copy the url instead of a pop up window
I was told by someone on your Twitter team to send my feedback here. Essentially on the row of each file or folder in box there are two icons in which you can click to access the link for that file or folder if you have created a share link. One of them should merely copy the link to the clipboard instead of bringing up that window where are you can invite people etc. Ideally the icon in the middle to the left of the date.
