  1. Fix the Preview of Excel file versions

    Currently, previewing older versions of Excel files does not work. No matter what version is selected, the current version of the file is displayed. The causes users to think that versioning is not happening OR that they have lost all prior versions. When users download a previous version of the file, it has the correct content for that version.

  3. SVG thumbnails corrupted

    Hi,

    We are using box to store loads of SVG images of apartment floor plans.
    When looking at a folder containing these images, the thumbnails are filled with large black areas, making it impossible to make out anything.

    From what I can see, the svg image preview is a .jpg image, so when the thumbnail is generated it probably fills some transparent areas with black.

    Would it be possible to just use the SVG as a thumbnail instead? in our case all the generated jpg thumbnails are actually larger than the original svg.

    As a user I would like to be able to share out a comprehensive keynote with embedded videos and maintain a preview only collaboration. currently videos have to be shared separately

  5. Box Content Preview: Allow File to be Renamed in Preview UI Element

    Files can only be renamed in the Content Explorer, requiring navigation away from the file to rename while in the Content Preview element. The request is to allow files to be renamed while previewing the file.

  6. Ability to download comments and print comments

    Would like the ability to download and/or print comments associated with a file. Perhaps via additional selections to "Download Comments" and "Print w/Comments".

    I understand downloading comments may need to be a separate file as the content could be in various application types and comments are not created in that document type. Printed files convert to PDF so it would be great if the comments could be converted to PDF and added directly to the printed file.

  7. Large file preview support

    A 360 degree video is taken and processed for upload to Box with the ".360" extension
    The files could potentially be very large (up to or sometimes more than 5 GB)
    With the use of Box sharing features, the 360 degree videos to be viewed/previewed by others

  8. Specify where the preview starts.

    We upload a video to the Box and previews be accessed through a shared link.
    In this case, the preview starts at the beginning of the video (0 minutes and 0 seconds).

    We'd like to be able to specify where the preview starts (e.g., 5 minutes and 0 seconds).

    We believe that being able to freely determine where to start the video preview will broaden the use of the video preview.

    We hope this feature will be added as a new feature.

  9. Subtitle Format Expansion (SSA)

    Right now the only supported subtitle formats are SRT (subrip), WebVTT, mov_text, and ccaption.

    We have a large number of videos that utilize a widely utilized standard called Substation Alpha (SSA).

    Please update the product for support of the SSA format.

  10. Word Document preview blurry

    Text in Word document previews is awfully blurry and splotchy.
    Looks as though it was rendered and then rescaled to fit the window.

  11. Trash file from its preview

    The trash command is missing from within the "..." button of the document view.
    The workaround requires a lot of extra steps: navigate to the parent folder, select the file, trash the file.
    Moreover it is not consistant with what is possible with folders: you can trash a folder from its own view.

  13. More accurate presentation on progress bar of preview

    Preview of a large file can take long time for rendering, and currently progress bar goes from 0 to 90% quite quickly, but never progresses from that point. This is misleading and we want progress bar to give more accurate presentation on how much longer we need to wait for preview to be loaded.

  14. Preview Adobe Illustrator 2020 Files

    Use Adobe Illustrator 2020 file preview to show quick view or preview in file browser on Box. Rather than this message "We’re sorry, the preview didn’t load. Please re-upload the file or contact Box support." Please? Pretty please?

  15. Better contrast & saturation on Preview

    A better representation of the PDF preview would be helpful for designers when sending files for clients to preview.

    Clients often just look at the preview and have questions about the color when the download has the correct representation.

  18. ID3 Tag Artwork Preview for MPEG .mpeg and all audio files supported in Box Content Preview feature

    Currently .mpeg is not supported in Box Content Preview Feature --yet the app can show Artwork of an .mpeg audio files. That said feature is desirable, let's bring that functionality to the Box Content Preview. So while streaming a file, user can also see the Artwork contained in ID3 information on the file.

  19. Preview support for PST and MBOX

    AS A Box User who accesses pst and mbox files in Box
    I WANT to be able to view those files in the Box Preview window
    SO THAT I do not have to download the files from Box and open them with another application.

    BACKGROUND:
    1. ATB Financial has completely migrated off of Microsoft Office to GSuite, using Box as our ECM solution.
