Search function - update date of the property data held by the document as a search condition.
The current full-text search function searches for the date of uploading to Box,
But I want to use the update date of the property data held by the document as a search condition.現在の全文検索機能では、Boxにアップロードした日が検索対象となるが、
ドキュメントが保持するプロパティデータの更新日を検索条件の対象としたい。1 vote -
Box Search - Search for infixes and suffices, not only prefixes
While Box supports prefix matching on titles, Box does not support suffix (end of the word) matching in the title or body content, or infix (middle of the word) matching in the title or body content. For example, a search on “cal” would match results for a file named “California” but not “decal” or “recall”.

Grid View search results are now severely limited
I have discovered that while searching in Grid View, the page will only load a certain number of results, and after that it will not load anything else. It will only load more results when switching back into List View.
This issue seems to have just started after a new update as I have spent the last 4 years with no problems searching in Grid View. I'm hoping this can be fixed very soon because I used to brag about the great searchability of Box folders, and this is now seriously damaging my efficiency in searching.

Allow Users and Admins to set folders to be excluded from search results
It would be useful if Administrators had the ability to set folders to be excluded from Search results by default. For example, if a folder is used for historical archive purposes it might not be relevant for the majority of searches, but inclusion in search results will make it harder to find what the user is actually looking for. It would also be useful if users could do this for their own accounts as well.
One possible method of implementation is to add a Tag called "Archive" (or something similar) to folders that Users and/or Admins can set to exclude…

About adding a search function for annotations
We use both comments and annotations without distinction.
We feel uncomfortable that comments are searchable, but annotations are not.
Although both are displayed in the same comment field, it is inconvenient that annotations cannot be searched, so we would like to improve the function so that annotations can also be searched.<アノテーションの検索機能の追加について>
7 votes -
Generate csv for the users with permission
let's say you have a subfolder with multiple users with the same permission, and want to create another subfolder for the similar purpose for the same users. Wouldn't it be great if you can generate a user list as csv or any other format, so you can easily copy and paste the users to invite? I know an admin can create a group but dont you think a regular user should be able to do the similar thing too?

Make new files/folder immediately searchable. Remove latency.
Make new files/folder immediately searchable. There is massive latency for new files/folders being searchable, which creates a very confusing and unpleasant end user experience.
When a new file/folder is created, it is not immediately searchable. Please fix this.

Simple Search AND Advanced Search
Box Search has its uses, but seems to be lacking a lot of basics I would have thought common. Given the wide ranging uses that customers seem to have, it makes sense to have more options opened up. More new Features are nice, but existing and frequently used Features like Search should really be refined.
The Simple Search is definitely helpful for some, but it looks like a lot of people are not satisfied with its the current state. Sorting is lacking. Filters are lacking. Why not include an Advanced Search function which includes what numerous Users have been reporting…

Multiple folder Search options in Content Filters.
When we search content, we can only set a certain folder to search (with a tick box) as a condition.
However, we would like to select multiple folders in the Content Filter to have more specific results in order to refer file a in folder A and file b in folder B.5 votes -
Improve metadata search UI design.
We are currently confined to a small box with scroll bars when using Metadata search. Please improve the UI design so we can see all the fields without having to scroll (pop-out, iFrame, etc.)

Be able to set a particular default search File Type such as "Folders"
Be able to set a particular File Type such as "Folders" be the default file type in search rather than "Any Type." Would like to be able to select a file type as default.

Ability to search history
We use history as a way to find files that we have seen in the past.
However, the history does not have a search function, and only 50 files can be displayed per screen.
Moreover, it is very inconvenient to go back and check the history because you have to click the next page many times.
Please make history searchable.

Improved search (not 'search term')
My hope is to search for "other than ●●" and "NOT ●●"
My preferred search method is, for example, There are 3 files. The file names are A, B, C.
I want to enter "not B" in the search. The result is A and C files.
It is usually called "Not search". (in Japan)6 votes -
Lock Sorting Settings of Files & Folders independently
We would like to be able to lock the sorting settings of files in folders? If we sort the folders based on A-Z the files inside the folders swap to Z-A. We would want them to be fully independent from each other.

Display name is cut off when specifying a group or user in the user activity report
The display name displayed in the suggestion when performing a search when specifying a group or user in the user activity report is cut off.
Users and groups cannot be specified correctly, such as when similar names are set and they are distinguished by the end of the name.
We want you to improve so that you can check all users and group names in the suggestion display when searching(In Japanese)

Improve search UI
Hi Team,
When I search in BOX folder which has many files using "ctlr+f" option, It doesn't search entire folder.
For Example: There are 10 files available in the folder which contains the name "OCA"(file name contains "OCA") And when I search I get only 6 results and when I scroll down and search I get remaining 4 results.
Can you please improve it to search the whole folder even if the file is present at the bottom of scrollable area?7 votes -
Better sorting by relevance with search terms
When I search for an exact file name, to find all copies of that file within a folder structure, the "See All Results" page does not put all the "hits" of that exact file name at the top of the list. I have to scroll down through many other files with partial hits in the name to find all copies. Why would it not sort by exact file names first, then partial file name matches, then contents ... ?
