Restrict expiry time length
By default we have set an automatic expiry length after 7 days, but a user can change that manually when they share the content.
It would be nice to have an admin setting that allows a maximum time our users can adjust the sharing length of time to.
i.e. a setting for say no more that 90 days from the date of the share.2 votes -
More than 150 files in collections
Expand the number of available items that can be added to a collection.
We have users who work on campaigns and need to collect files from lots of different locations, this and in come cases exceed 400 files, and we believe the limit is currently 150.2 votes -
Use Device Based Authentication for Box for EMM on iOS
To enforce device compliance requirements through Microsoft Conditional Access policies, the Box for EMM app would need to use the Microsoft Edge browser when completing SSO on iOS. It currently uses Safari to complete SSO, which doesn't allow the Conditional Access policy to properly check information about the device.
Microsoft Support suggested requesting Box for EMM on iOS to use device based authentication to allow the Conditional Access policy to apply correctly.

Copy experience
When copying a file using a web app, if a file with the same name exists at the copy destination, (1) will be added to the file name.
I would like it to be overwritten and updated in the same way as when uploading a file with the same name.
Since there is a file with the same name, it would be better if there is a confirmation message asking if you want to overwrite it.2 votes -
Open PowerPoint Shows (.pps, .ppsx) in Box Web
Box should recognise additional Microsoft Office file-extensions - particularly .pps and .ppsx - which when opened, immediately runs the Powerpoint Slide Show
Currently, it is necessary to download instead, or keep as .ppt / .pptx - which would not run the Slide Show immediately, and would enable users to edit (unnecessarily)

Request for change of report output destination for Content Insights
We can export the activity log from the bottom right of the content insights, but it's inconvenient that we can't specify the destination for exporting the activity log.
Please modify it so that we can output the activity log to any folder of our choice.2 votes -
SCIM Provisioning for Box Zones
We'd like to provision Box Zones with SCIM provisioning instead of SAML Attribute. We use SCIM for all other provisioning. Not sure why we can't use it for a data residency Zone.

Email Notifications for Viewers
Users are able to set their email notification in the folder options. However, if you have "viewer" access, you are not able to select these notifications for uploads. You must have "editor" access to do so.
We have groups with "Viewer" access as they shouldn't need to edit files in the said directory, however they should be notified when a new file has been uploaded.
The only solution box support provided was to turn on the upload notification in the user settings for all of their files. This would be counterproductive as the clutter of notifications for all uploads would…

Recycle bin restoration
I would like it to be possible to check where the data will be restored when restoring it from the Recycle Bin.
Also, I think it would be more convenient if you could change the restore destination and name when restoring.

Dataroom Indexing
Similar to other virtual dataroom software solutions, Box.com should be able to autoindex files. This is a very basic capability that other solutions like Egnyte, Firmex and Sharefile are able to do. The reason this is important is so that you can direct an external party to look for a file at a specific index/location such as 1.1.5.6.4. Show full file names within iOS app
The current iOS mobile app by design only shows the first 10-12 characters of file names in portrait mode. It is not much better in landscape mode. This makes the app very hard to work with if you have many files which have the same first 20-50 characters. It should be possible to view the full file names in the iOS app.

Be able to Block specific filetypes from being uploaded to Box
Allow for an organization-wide policy to block specific filetypes from being uploaded to Box, or at least prevent them from being uploaded/moved to specific folders with specific classifications.

Allow preview/editing of Office files other than PW-protected Excel (.xlsx) files.
We feel that the inability to preview/edit PW protected files makes it less convenient.
In order to ensure security, we often assign passwords to not only Excel files, but also to PowerPoint and Word files, and there are many opportunities to collaborate on editing PowerPoint and Word files. This is because not supporting online access reduces work efficiency.PW保護しているファイルがプレビュー/編集できないことで利便性が低いと感じております。

File Request list
I would like to see the list of the folders that have File Request enabled so that I can check which folder is already enabled and can easily disable from that list.
There is a feature in admin console but would like to have the end users be able to do see it for their collaborated folders.2 votes -
Open link accessible only by those who hold a Box account
I want to share sensitive content with people outside my organization for a limited time (e.g., 3 days).
Problems:
- Using an open link does not allow restricting access to specific individuals. Also, if the person does not have a Box account, it is not possible to record an access log.
- Using collaborators does not allow for automatically removing certain collaborators after a set period.
Please provide a solution.

Box Drive app more easily accessible
It would be convenient to have an install Box link located in the Help menu or my Account icon similar to Dropbox. Even still, when I navigate to the Box App Center I have to go to Box Drive, scroll down to the respective OS and install. It sounds tedious but I needed to install Box and Dropbox on a bunch of computers and was reminded how the Box user experience still doesn't hold up to Dropbox. Neither is perfect and both have great features but I always feel like Box makes me take steps I don't need or doesn't…

Google Sheets preview
The name of "sheet" on Google spreadsheet is normally displayed in the tab style and we can switch several sheets from one to another. However, when previewing Google Sheets file on Box, the name of sheet are displayed at the top of each page, which forces users to scroll down to the sheet they would like to see.
I want Google Sheets preview to have the same view and style as the native Google spreadsheet.2 votes -
launching office pop up box
Can you add an option to tick a box 'do not show this again' for the launching office pop up. I have to shut this so many times a day and it's totally pointless for a regular user.

Ability to use comments and annotation functions when previewing Office files such as Excel.
I would like to be able to use the annotation and comment addition functions even in previews of Office products (Excel, Word, etc.).

Improve on Download log in the Activity Log
Currently when trying to access to a file that does not have a collaboration right, it is registered as download in the activity report.
I have heard the support team that this is expected behaviour due to the backend work to read the thumbnail.
However, when looking at the activity log, it looks like a user has "downloaded" that file even though they do not have access to it so would like the report to not show "download" but something else to know that the user hasn't actually downloaded that file.2 votes
