Separate Move / Copy buttons
Please consider improving this within Amsterdam
There are a number of use cases that can be supported by separating the Move / Copy button into unique buttons:
1) Folder or file templates: Users with Viewer access (can download) should be able to COPY a file or folder elsewhere. Currently this is not supported -- the user must download, which loses BoxNotes and Bookmarks.
2) Separating "records" from reference material -- If Retention is set on a file, the user may want to copy a version elsewhere that is not subject to Retention
Interesting suggestion, but we won’t be focusing on this ask for the time being due to competing priorities.

We have a lot of users accidentally select to move a file instead of copy it, or vice versa. We've received feedback that it would be very helpful to have these as 2 completely separate function options instead.

To add to the above, nearly every company using Box has employees that need to take content from best practices of presentations, templates, marketing assets, etc and tweak them for their needed situation. In most situations, they did not create the original asset and only have access to view and download the asset which then requires them to download, find it, and then upload back to Box where they would like to store it and edit from there. This is literally every Sales organization....taking assets, tweaking them, and using them with their customers. They need the ability to view, download, AND COPY.
