'Compare Versions' View in Preview

The ability for a user to view 2 versions of a file side-by-side in Box Preview to compare the differences.

    comparing versions of *.dwg files ( or any file) is a must with everything going digital. Please reconsider giving us this ability.

    Hi, this feature continues to be in demand.

    As a project lead, product owner, business analyst, etc., I consistently deal with documentation.

    With my past experience as a software dev, I dream of having this compare feature all the time. Solving this problem will also allow box to explore a new range of features for next level collaboration. I.e., handle merge conflicts, run PRs, and more.

    Please put it in the backlog. Plan it for a sprint some time soon.

    Hi, This feature is very essential within internal process engineering teams of our business. We need the ability to be able to see 'git-style' diff between different versions of the same files, on the Box web interface(which is possible with competitors like Google Docs). The current method of downloading these versions locally and running diff on them is not very user-friendly. This is certainly a good opportunity to push through this feature and edge over the competitors.

    Sometimes a mistake is made and not being able to clearly see what an editor may have done and only see two versions is problematic when the editor is not sure why they are now the "last editor" but did not intend to be. Lot sof popular software has this kind of "diff" feature, so it'd be nice if Box had one in the cloud as well.

    completely agree, this is critical for any normal pacs system. The ability to compare prior and current imaging side by side

    This would be real useful when taking over a system developed by others with multiple versions of documentation to learn what changed when.

    There are many business where user need to compare document, especially in the case of contract. It can be either 2 versions of the same document (wish already logged) but also 2 different documents
