True versioning with Office Integrations
Our users are in Office online documents for several hours as they are working on legal documents. What this does is creates hundreds of versions of one document due to the auto-save feature and eliminates the benefits of versioning because the versions saved are not true versions.
It makes it difficult to see what the previous changes were that the other user made. We need true versioning for forensic value for our legal documents.
We understand the request, but unfortunately this is not on the near-term roadmap.

This is a major issue for our team as well. We use both Microsoft Office and Apple Office products. Within a 4 hour window, sometimes all version histories are used up (our plan is 51 versions).
I don't remember this being an issue a year or two ago and was able to go back several months to see past edits.

We have the same issue within our firm. We "delete" the interim versions, but this is not the most effective way to utilize version control.
