Smaller icons for Box Drive on windows
The "status" icons on folders/files in Box Drive cover up 80% of the thumbnail for the file (or folder itself). This happens when explorer is set to list or details view.
This makes scanning a folder with many documents for a particular file type extremely difficult, as there's not much visual distinction between excel, word, and ppt docs when they're all covered by one of the Box Drive syncing status icons. The PPT/Excel/Word logos are completely covered with just a vague hint of color peeking out.
It would be ideal to figure out some way to make these icons smaller, move them, whatever, so we can have that visual distinction between file types back.
This was delivered in Box Drive v2.16!

Please add this feature. It is really annoying that BOX thinks they are the only thing I care about in my file status.

+1 Additional request for this feature. The icon is too large and it affects the ability to visually identify the type of document you are opening. In BoxSync, it used to be a simple Green dot. The check is fine. Just want it to not be so big on these small thumbnails.

Another vote for this. The status column suggested earlier in this thread would be a great solution. Thanks!

Hi all. Check out my post here. The status column might just be the way to solve your issues too. https://community.box.com/t5/Desktop-and-Mobile-Forum/Overlay-Icons-Suggestion/m-p/67831#M2863

Yes!! Please please PLEASE allow turning off or moving of your Box icons over regular file icons in Windows, especially while in "Details" view.
I know you can sort by file type, or even view what file type it is in that column, but it is a huge time saver to just look at the icons.

+1 for this. My company uses Box and they just had me switch to Box Drive. I was not happy to lose the ability to map my Windows Documents folder to the Box folder (which you can do with Box Sync), but I'll learn to live it. The way the Box Drive icons take over the file type icons in Windows Explorer is very frustrating, though. As the original poster stated, when you have a folder with a lot of files in it, being able to do a quick visual scan to locate an Excel, or Word or PDF file is a time saver. That feature is now lost. Please consider shrinking the Box Drive file sync icons or putting them somewhere other than over the file type icon.
