Box Drive for Windows on Arm
With the release of new Copilot PC by Microsoft and other partners that run on Arm processors it would be nice to be able to install Box Drive on Windows on Arm.

This needs to be resolved ASAP. We have a company policy of Surface devices, and as devices are updated, Box will become unviable without Box Drive. Box Drive doesn't support any of the latest generation Surface devices with ARM processors.

This needs to be a priority development - our company policy uses MS Surface devices, and the latest generation on ARM can't use Box Drive. This is a major problem.

Box Drive is integral to my work. I use it 100s of times a day. BOX needs to respond to these user issues with a plan and a timetable.

My aging Microsoft Surface Windows11 PC is nearing the end of its useful Life. I purchased a MS Surface PC with Windows ARM.
Box drive is an integral part of my daily workflow. I must use it hundreds of times a day to retrieve reports, manage projects, sign documents etc.
I do not know what the problem is with BOX technology and ARM processors but it is extremely important that this issue is solved

We just got a Surface Pro 11 with Snapdragon in our department. We ran into this issue Box Drive is how we share files across campus. OneDrive is for backups, Dropbox is forbidden, and iCloud is blasphemy at central IT. We need this to work.

crazy that my Microsoft pro laptop is not compatible with Box drive, this needs to be fixed ASAP or people will either move away from Box or not buy Microsoft laptops anymore.........

I wanted echo this critical issue regarding the compatibility of Box software with the new ARM processors. As ARM technology continues to advance and becomes more prevalent in various devices, it is essential for Box to adapt and ensure full compatibility with these processors. This support is crucial for maintaining seamless file storage and management.
If Box software does not evolve to support ARM processors effectively, users may consider moving file storage to an ARM-compatible competitor, such as Microsoft OneDrive. The shift to ARM processors is a significant technological trend, and it's vital for Box to keep pace to meet user needs and expectations.

This is almost a deal breaker for me. I run arm windows inside a VM on a Mac. Need box in the VM not on the mac.

Agreed. Was looking to update my team with Surface Pro 11s, but with no box drive support it makes it much more difficult.

We are looking to purchase the new ARM based Windows based laptops with Copilot. What is the timeline for Box Drive to be supported? We've had to hold off on upgrading new computers until we know whether we can use Box anymore.

arm for Windows is coming guys. I think choosing no to support it is a bad idea - OR do whatever you need for it to work x64 emulated. MS has full x64 emulation on arm now the problem is the installers see it's arm and give up.

Box Drive on virtual Windows 11 on 2020-2023 Apple machine installs without claiming it can't run on the platform, but yet it doesn't. How many years is Box development behind real-world use cases that customers need?

Customer Ask: Would you write your Box Drive installer to let it install the software if you don’t support the platform/version of the OS?
Box Response: "... we strongly suggest leaving feedback via pulse.box.com where our Engineering and Product teams can see this feedback directly to consider for future enhancements with our Products."
Customer Reaction: Lame :-( -

Silicon is the future. You made Box Drive compatible with the M1/M2 Mac platform -- why are you abandoning those of us who use Windows on Arm? Please get this done, or you will lose customers who prioritize the benefits of silicon-based Windows productivity tools over which cloud service they use. Fortunately, lots of options.
