  2. Option to Remove Expiration of a Collaborator after Auto-Expiration is disabled

Admin request option when disabling Auto-Expiration feature for collaborators within Enterprise:

    1. Allow option to choose extension date for pre-existing collaborators who's access is going to expire.
    2. Allow option to disable/remove auto expiration for collaborators by Admin or Owner.

This will affect multiple user across our enterprise where they will have to be re-invited to folders since expiration cannot be removed.

Thank you for your note! We will consider this request with additional demand.

  3. Open Shared Link Controls: Prevent Open Shared Folder Links without Disabling Company Folder Shared Links

Right now you can't disable Open folder links without disabling Company folder links. The native Box setting for this is too restrictive (prevents sharing folders internally other than via collaboration).

  5. CAPTCHA localization

When logging into Box via OAuth, a user may be presented with a CAPTCHA challenge. This CAPTCHA challenge is not localized, i.e., it may be presented in a language that does not match the Box customer's account language.

  6. Allow per user exemptions for password expiration

This would allow admins to remove automatic password expiration on service accounts or account used solely for third party integration services.

  7. Enable download of watermarked file via public shared link.

We want to be able to distribute watermarked files via public shared link. It's confusing for end users, as well, since the Shared Link settings for allow download is not grayed out when the file is "watermarked".

  10. Ability to watermark audio

We currently use a 3rd party tool called Studio CDN, a watermarking media delivery company, which can apply and detect watermarks on audio files that are shared.

However, we would like to use Box instead so that we can securely consolidate all of our audio content on Box.

Thank you for your feedback. This is not planned for now due to other priorities.

We will evaluate this again with renewed customer demand.

  13. Add browse permission level (i.e. read access to properties only, not to the content itself)

Scenario: A user can search a content/get recommendation to content he has no access to. Once the users knows that the content exists, he user can request access to it by asking the owner.

We are not likely to implement this in our roadmap. We would like to understand the root problem before pursuing this implementation.

  16. Email Notifications for Expiring External Collaborators

In addition to the owner of the folder receiving a notification that a collaboration is expiring, the user who initiated (invited) the collaborator, and the collaborator themselves receive notifications.

  17. 'Email Shared Link' - Add Reporting for the Recipient (Who the shared links were sent to)

When sending shared link emails (via the Shared Link modal -> Email Shared Link option) we do not report on who we sent the email to.

REQUEST: In the UI and Excel exports, add information on who the shared link email was sent to.

  18. Desktop Web App & 3rd Party Apps: Split this setting and have one titled [Web Browsing]

After testing the Device Trust setting Desktop Web App & 3rd Party Apps for the purpose of Box Notes and Box for Office, I have noticed that when we enable this, it closes the door on Box web browser usage from any non-company machine (since it doesn't meet the Device Trust setting.) Currently we find it very useful and it is required for us to be able to use Box from non-company machines via web browsers.

It would be excellent if Box Support could separate Device Trust in more depth, specifically this setting Desktop Web App & 3rd Party Apps

Because Watermarking is built as an enterprise-wide feature, we don’t currently plan to limit access to it to only certain users as this would be antithetical to how we do enterprise features as a whole in the product.

If we decide to add the ability to limit folder settings to certain levels of users, then I could see us changing watermarking to fit that pattern.

  20. Have Device Trust perform occasional background checks on Sync client

Have Device Trust perform occasional background checks on Sync client to ensure the device still passes, otherwise remotely logout the device.
