Available get to 'My Collections' other than favorites via API
In 3rd-party app, My Collection is a very good idea as a way to provide quick access to users.
But, it can only take favorites.
Please let me get 'My Collections' other than favorites.https://developer.box.com/reference/get-collections/
Currently, only the favorites collection is supported.12 votes -
Addition an event trigger for TASK.CREATE, COMPLETE, ACCEPT and REJECT for V2 webhooks
V2 Webhook does not have a Webhook for Task operations.
This makes it difficult to notify the next application of the completion of a task. Please add webhooks for Task created, completed, accepted, and rejected.

Retain modified_by field on GET calls on content for deleted users
Right now, when using the API to make GET calls on content, the 'modifiedby' field will be NULL if the user that made the modification is deleted. For reporting purposes, it would be ideal if this information is retained. The 'createdby' field is retained, so it seems strange that modified_by results in a NULL result

Provide an Endpoint to Manage Public/Private Key Pair
To retire and generate a new JWT application's public/private key pair, manual intervention is needed by both the Developer Application owner and the Box Admin. It is very common to require periodic rotation of RSA keys and is often required by internal security standards.

I want to use the box API to add and delete tags
I want to use the box API to add and delete tags, but the[https://developer.box.com/reference/put-files-id/#param-tags]
tags body parameter:
To add or remove a tag, retrieve the item's current tags, modify them, and then update this field.
In this way, current tags will be covered. If I want to add or delete tag I have to know the current tags . I want to know if there are other endpoints that can add tags directly without knowing the current tags.2 votes -

Company Intranet Functionality
Would be great if Box had a company intranet functionality similar to platforms like Simppler, Igloo, Claromentis, Jostle, etc... Many of them integrate with Box, but one stop shopping is always preferred. A digital workplace is so important now that so many are working remotely. Bringing all of our apps under one roof (e.g., Box, Salesforce, Teams, Zoom, Yammer...), giving employees a portal/hub to go every morning to improve communication, lighten the inbox, providing a place to hold not only our knowledge but our policies, forms, news, process management for things like onboarding new hires, training staff, etc...

Long live server side auth master access token
A server side authentication token that is long lived and provides access to all endpoints, not just read and write like JWT auth. I have posted a support ticket here describing my needs: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/1500000258202-Server-Side-Authentication-Scopes

Ability to update files by pathname
Instead of having to provide a fileId to perform an action on any given file, it would be nice to be able to pass a pathname as an alternative option

Ability for admins to see tenant wide API call trend insight dashboard in Admin or Dev Console
Platform Activity report could be used to find out daily API calls for each and every single registered apps. But it requires Excel to summarize to grasp overall tenant-wide API call trends.
Since this is hard for the admins to track if API calls exceed allowed number of calls or not, it would be ideal for admins to see tenant-wide API call trend insight dashboard from Admin or Dev Console.

We need Box enablement to all the App user to "see" the refreshes of documents periodically
We want app user functionality to crawl a given Box folder and refresh every 24 hrs so we always have the latest document ingested into Watson Discovery.

Boxnotes changes are not reported in calls to list user and enterprise events
When calls are made to https://developer.box.com/reference/get-events?stream_type=changes, we expect changes made to Box Notes to be reported. Currently, they're not being reported.

Improve wording on Box Edit confirmation prompt
Improve wording on Box Edit confirmation prompt
When a file is opened with Box Edit from UI elements, we display a confirmation prompt that asks user to proceed or not (this is UI elements only and not displayed when opening file from webapp). Currently, the prompt lets you choose approve/reject, but we want this text changed to OK/cancel (just like other Windows apps).

Service Accounts should be rate limited differently than user accounts
Currently, when you use a service account to access Box API's, in order to get access to content you need to use the As-User header "impersonate" users in order to access the files that are owned by then.
So if you are doing something like using a service account to crawl through all the files in a folder in box, you would need to use the As-User header in order to impersonate a user who owns/has access to each file while doing it.
But there is a huge problem here is that the rate limiting is done using the As-User…

Granular control of API calls within UI elements
Mitie use Box platform to surface payslips to their employees. For this they use a Box UI element. As they analyse their API consumption they feel that the UI elements are using a lot of API calls - more than planned for and they are worried this will impact the price of their engagement come renewal. One thing in particular they have noticed is that when a user previews a document, the UI elements pre-fetches what looks like the next five documents, presumably for performance reasons. Since their users only every preview one document (the current months payslip) they are…
