Canvas LMS integration
Useful for universities.
5 votesThis is not planned from the Box side. If Canvas wants to build the integration, that would be the best path.

Add a flag to enable/disable end-user collaboration emails
Currently, collaboration emails are only sent to the service account. Admins should be able to enable/disable whether their end users also receive collaboration emails when added to a Box for Salesforce integration folder, as workflows may depend on being notified that this folder exists/has been shared with an end user.

Adobe Sign in Integration should be Opt in, not opt out
We have 150,000 accounts in our instance, of which only a handful might have Adobe Sign licenses. I need to turn it off for everyone and allow those with the licenses to turn it on.
1 voteFor this feature to be considered, please talk to your Adobe account team

If this refers to only showing Adobe Sign option in Open With menu for users who have Adobe Sign accounts, this is very challenging as Box does not have access to users’ account information across other 3rd party apps.

Save-As limits
Scenario:
Using Save As to convert a .csv to excel file. When saving to my local drive (even though it is in a Box Sync folder) I maintain the programmatic capability to save the file as a different file type.
When saving to Box (even though it is the same Box Operations folder) I lose the programmatic capability to save the file as a different file type.
I do file conversion in excel multiple times a week.

Integrate with our O365 tenant when opening content from Box
When Box launches content, a generic instance of Word/Excel is launched rather than our specific instance. As MSFT shifts more and more functionality to O365, integration with specific O365 tenants will become more critical.

This is an interesting feature! However, it does not have enough demand in order to be prioritized.
We are happy to reconsider with additional feedback.

Sample code or process to associate high number of SFDC records with Box folders
We would like to see some sample code included in the Box for Salesforce SDK to assist us with associating a high number SFDC records with existing Box folders. It would be great to simplify this task beyond simply pointing to the needed APEX method.

Box for Office - Email Uploads
When email uploading into Box, we'd like the option to add collaborators and permission levels in the dialog box confirming the file name, vs having to in later in Box as a second step in a second system.
Else - defaulting rights to Viewer Uploader for all email recipients to ensure they can view the content, but we'd still have the content protected.

Would like ability for posting/hosting HTML pages via Box
Our creative teams often need to show campaign materials & mock-ups via HTML rendering online. Would like for this to be supported by Box via Edit or an Render button.
Globally - we have approx. 40-50 users working ~7 campaigns per week - so this would be a high use, high value use case.
Teams use Adobe Creative Cloud to create html banners / sites. To render them, a series of documents (with links requiring subfolders) need to be viewed on a browser. When sharing with internal users without Adobe licenses or with external parties/customers, the files are zipped with…

True versioning with Office Integrations
Our users are in Office online documents for several hours as they are working on legal documents. What this does is creates hundreds of versions of one document due to the auto-save feature and eliminates the benefits of versioning because the versions saved are not true versions.
It makes it difficult to see what the previous changes were that the other user made. We need true versioning for forensic value for our legal documents.
7 votesWe understand the request, but unfortunately this is not on the near-term roadmap.

We are keeping our focus on the native integration with Office and Office365.

Allow Save to PDF from Office to point to Box share.
Users currently use the "Save as Adobe PDF" which I believe is a plugin for Office. It generates a popup window for "Acrobat PDFMaker" which uses the standard Windows Explorer.
As a result, users need to save to local drive first, then upload to Box. They'd like to save a PDF directly to Box.

Ability to use JavaScript to customize the Box & Salesforce integration
We would like to be able to use JavaScript to access existing Box folders/files in the Salesforce & Box integration vs using APEX.
2 votesThank you for your submission. However, this does not have enough demand in order to be prioritized.
We will reconsider with additional use cases and demand.
