Folder path under Trash
Under Trash, please add "folder path". If there was a bulk delete of many files in a folder, we want to confirm the file belongs in the folder path, before we restore the files.

Shared Link Lookup Tool
Problem: Admins often need to do investigation of files stored in Box and all they have to go off of is the file/folder's shared link. Since admins can't search by shared link in the current Content Manager UI, a Shared Link Lookup tool would provide similar information.
Key Features:
-Provide ability to enter a shared link (standard or vanity URL)
-Information returned after searching:
-File/folder name
-File/folder owner
-File/folder location (Owner -> Folder hierarchy)
-Status (whether the file/folder has been deleted or not)
-Admin-level 'delete' (ability for the admin to delete the file on the spot)54 votesHello,

Subject Access Request reporting
UK users need to be able to provide Subject Access Reporting (by law). Everyone is entitled to a copy of their data held in the system.
Box needs to be able to report on that. Search (content and/or metadata) will provide the results, but we need a list of this content in a report as well as the ability to download all this content in a zip file.
See specific GDPR requirements here: https://ico.org.uk/for-organizations/guide-to-data-protection/principle-6-rights/subject-access-request/

Hide admin from access stats when viewing/downloading content on legal hold
We do not want users on legal hold to know that their content is being previewed or downloaded. We want to be able to "hide" their actions from the access status.

Allow export of content from Content Manager
When reviewing content from users who are on legal hold, allow admins to export data directly from Content Manager instead of requiring the admin to navigate to the file in Box.

different versioning rules according to location
It would be very helpful to have different versioning rules according to locations. For instance, in a specific folder you could have 10 versions of a file and in other folders 50.

Add a shortcut to a file or folder
MAKE IT POSSIBLE TO ADD A SHORTCUT TO A DOCUMENT from another folder/location. I have been trying to do this by copying a file only to find out that is NOT in fact a shortcut, but rather what becomes an outdated copy.

Template library for enterprise
We’d love to be able to have a template folder structure that our enterprise can use to create the same folder structure over and over again. We use the same folder structure across the enterprise often. If we could create a template library that out users could access to create new Box folders with the same structure that would be super helpful.
Thanks!

Ability to see owned vs. collaborated content
From content manager, we would like the ability to filter the content by only showing content the user is 1) an owner of and/or 2) is a co-owner of, and/or 3) is collaborated on.
When a user leaves the organization, we will disable the account for a few months. Before it is deleted, we would like to have the possibility to easily see the impact for other users if/when the content is deleted. If needed, we would then assign new owners for content collaborated on before that content is deleted.

Easily identify folders owned by an individual user via Content Manager
I have a need to determine what folders are owned by a certain person and wanted to know the easiest way to get that information. When viewing under Content Manager I see all the folders the person has access to but cannot filter it for the one she owns. I also tried running the Folders and Files report but am getting an error.
For example, I need to look up all folders owned by one user in order to change them after a name change.

Show full path in results when searching for content across the enterprise
For search results of files/folders are returned for longer folder paths (e.g. think 10 sub folders deep), the folder path in the UI is truncated to only show 3-4 folders deep so it does not display higher level folder or even the root folder of the structure. This makes content discovery within the folder owner's count much more difficult. Click on the results only bring your to the item in Content Manager and still doesn't give you the path information. A solution would be to have the option to click a more info option which displays the full folder path…

Folders and Files Classification in Content Manager Console
Folder and File Classification should be shown in the content manager console so the admins would be able to know the kind of content they are dealing with.

the ability to see only files and folders names which managed users were invited
Currently, co-administrators who have been granted permission to [view the user's content] can see which managed users have been invited to which folders and what content is within those folders. Additionally, they can preview the files.
Since the helpdesk operations are outsourced, we would like the external staff to be able to confirm only the folder names and file names from the Content Manager, without being able to view or edit the contents of the files.
Please enable the ability to grant co-administrators the permission to reference only the folder and file names, while restricting access to the contents inside.

When recovering data. It would be good to be able to go into deleted folders to see what is there rather than restoring the whole folder

Hello Box, Box, by removing the Grid View for us desktop users you are making life hellish for those who need to send video files and image
Hello Box,
Box, by removing the Grid View for us desktop users you are making life hellish for those who need to send video files and images to clients for selection/use at their end. 90% of value in the Box platform has been diminished by this one change.
Instead of us/our clients being able to scan hundreds of images/video clips and then be able to click in to specific files for a closer look, people have to go through one by one to see what images/video clips look like. This update is like going back to the stone ages for…
