Concurrent editing via Microsoft Office Desktop
Microsoft API’s dont allow co-authoring and MSFT doesn’t plan to support it for Box. Please provide feedback to MSFT reps to enable co-authoring for partners such as Box

I noticed that if two users have a document 'Opened with' Microsoft Word and attempt to save changes at the same time- one users changes will be saved and the other user (I assume if saved slightly later than the first) will be saved only locally to their drive.
Is there a way to allow for both collaborators 'Opened with' edits to be saved and added to the collaborated document? If not it would seem the collaborated feature of Box when using the 'Open with' feature is flawed.
Please let me know if my team is not using properly. Meaning we should not Check out a document and use the 'Open With' feature on a document where multiple users are collaboration at the same time.

I feel that it would be more professional for Box to take ownership of this issue rather than requesting that customers reach out to Microsoft to provide this feedback / feature request. It is a serious usability issue with the entire portfolio of Box desktop apps.
