Ability to 'Hide' Folders I've Been Added To
As a user, I've likely been added to numerous folders that I do not need to access daily or even often, but still need to remain a collaborator in. A 'hide folder' option may help with this, where a user would be able to hide a folder form their All Files view, but the user would not actually be removed as a collaborator from the folder. They would then be able to access all 'hidden' folders via a menu option on the left rail (or elsewhere).
Folder sprawl is an interesting challenge many of us face! To combat this, we’re recommending that users use the upcoming ‘Collections’ feature to group together content that’s frequently used vs. hiding content that’s infrequently used.

Referring us to collections is a tone-deaf response. It does not solve the problem. Please allow us to hide folders that we are added to that we do not wish to remove ourselves from. This is not conceptually difficult.

I need to hide/archive (NOT DELETE) old folders - why can't Box add this simple feature

It's 2022. People have been complaining about this since 2019!
All we want is to put the share folders into another folder instead of showing all of them in the root folder!!
Can you imagine whenever you open box online and box app, when you want to find your own folders, but there are hundreds of shared folders that block your sight?
We just don't want to see shared folders in the root folder!! Please hear us!!! BOX!

The 'Collections' feature is not a sufficient solution to this problem. Why should a user have to manually go through potentially 100's of folders to "group together content" when what is really needed is just a simple toggle feature to 'Hide' shared (non-owner) folders/content? Why does Box seem to keep avoiding the addition of such a feature?
