Box Sign Template Edit Underlying Document
My customers who use DocuSign today are accustomed to applying a Signature template to a document. For example, I have a contract I am going to make edits to the language of the contract, the date, the dollar amount, etc. and then apply a signature template and send it off.
In Box today, I've found that you can either use a template (but the underlying document cannot be changed) or you can utilize template tags via API (which are handy, but I imagine my less tech savvy clients would find them challenging to set up).
We've recently released multi-docs support, which as part of it provides the option to replace the underlying document within a signature request / template while keeping the existing field placeholders in place

The ability to change the underlying document (base document), in my opinion, is vital and it's a huge oversight to not have it already been implemented. We create most of our forms on our letterheads, then upload to Box Sign and the add fields etc. If we were to change our company phone number etc, I would then have to recreate all our forms again, rather than simply update the form's base document and upload to the template replacing the existing base document. We really need this feature.

Can we have an update about this request please ?
Unfortunately, the current template option is useless since nobody is going to approve the same document again and again...
Maybe somebody is using BOX relay in order to perform this task ?
Thanks a lot

This would be great for us - we use a template signature page on multiple documents or proposals. We would like to have a set of fields laid out in a specific spot we can apply to any document.

It would be great to have the ability to edit the templates by only changing the 'base' document. For example, if the wording changes in the document, but all the fields remain the same, I have to create a new template using the new 'base' document and add all the fields again. It would great if I could just replace the 'base' document.

Totally Agree! I have hundreds of documents that are formatted exactly the same, but have just some small changes to the data of each document. I am not able to apply a single template to each of these but have to upload each doc and create the signature fields on each one manually. So much time can be saved if I can apply a single template to multiple documents. I don't use Box sign for this reason alone.
