I am facing the same problem.
Box Hubs is a portal feature that we are looking at, and there are many situations where we want to collaborate with groups that have many members. On the other hand, I am concerned about the load on the mail server and the security awareness of spoofed emails due to the large number of email notifications when a group is invited.
