Additional information on folder activity report for root folders
We have 150 plus sub-folders. Information we would like it to contain:
Date / Time
Date
User's Name
User's Email
Action
Item / Name
Size
Contained in Folder
Change Details2 votesIt is technically challenging to run activity reports on all subfolders within a folder. We will not be prioritizing this work at this time.

Shared Link Details: Add 'Last Usage' Column
The Shared Link Details report is a great report currently that provides admins a wealth of information when performing an 'inventory' or security review of all existing shared links.
One additional column that would be very helpful to include is a 'Last Usage' column that would provide a date entry for each shared link.
Usage is defined as the last time someone actually used that link in a browser. This is helpful to admins to be able to know if a link is still being used or not (prior to disabling it for security reasons.)17 votes -
Admin/Co-Admin history
We want to see who was added as a Co-Admin and by each specific invite that person received.

Generate Report directly from the "View Report" link in "unusual activity" notification email to admin
Please explore changing the Unusual User Activity notification emails to admins to actually spin out the report for a user when the "View Report" link is clicked, instead of prompting admins to run the report manually after clicking "View Report."

Create a group of previously created groups aka nested groups
We have a group of providers that we would like to make a larger super-group of the nested smaller groups instead of adding each individual user
30 votesAt this time, we are developing solutions for using groups to grant access to apps and enterprise settings. https://pulse.box.com/forums/909778/suggestions/36670615
Supporting nested groups may be a longer term vision that we consider after solving the first problem above.

Admin console page default for co-admins
Box security best practices, and those of many other enterprises, dictate that no one use the Box super admin account except for very specific purposes like granting or removing co-admin rights to another account.
Day-to-day Box administration is done with co-admin accounts.
Request: co-admin account be given the option to set the admin console as its home page like the super admin account can.

Prevent End Users from Updating Email Aliases in Account Settings
Current: Users are able to add any email addresses as aliases to their accounts
Request: Create a setting in the Admin Console that can be enabled to prevent end users from modifying their aliases if it is being managed by Admins via API/SAML. Alternatively, enable a setting that limits users to only be able to add email aliases that match registered domains for the EID.

Folder specific usage reports
A number of our teams need the ability to run usage reports based on the folder in contrast to the typical usage report which is based on the user/group.
We want to store highly sensitive documents in Box but need visibility into this kind of activity. This would also function as a very scalable way of measuring content adoption for the Team Leads.

The Ability to Search for Users by Secondary Email Address
In the Admin Console, there is currently no way to search for users by their secondary email address.
When the Admin goes to create a new user with an email address that is already in use by an existing account, they have no way of seeing who is using the email address without checking their users' account details individually.
8 votesThis suggestion is not under consideration for the current or future roadmap. We are currently focusing on improving the current experience to manage users in the Admin Console before we add enhancements to search.

Multi-Branding for 1 instance (EID) / Multiple Custom Branding Themes per EID

Ability to create Box reports by API
To import snapshot data (folders and files, collaborations etc.) to SIEM like Splunk, it's convenient that Box reports data can be created by API.
22 votesCustomers can utilize the existing events infrastructure to gather this data, so we do not have any plans to provide snapshots in fewer API calls in the short term.

IP Whitelisting on Administrative settings
Setting in the Admin Console so that an Admin can only change settings while in a defined IP range.

Granular details around user account edits
Current reports show when a user account was edited, and who/what edited the user account. There are no specific details regarding what on the user account was edited
7 votesThis reporting ask is not yet planned on the roadmap. We are currently prioritizing last activity reporting for managed users.

Group Admins should be able to invite co-admins to groups
A group admins tried to add a user to the group as a member, but received the error message 'User does not have permission to edit users of this group'. The user he was trying to add was a Co-Admin for Box.
With this, if the Co-Admin has the administrative privilege to "Manage Groups" attributed to her, then she can go in and add herself to the group.
If not, the main Admin of the enterprise would have to add that Co-Admin to the group. This complicates the process of adding users to a group.
2 votesThis suggestion is not under consideration for the current or future roadmap because there has not been enough demand from customers.

Include Enterprise Events for access changes to shared links triggered by enterprise-wide settings updates
If an admin updates the enterprise-wide shared link settings from open to restrictive (for example, removes "People with the link" as an option), the access level on any existing open links is changed. This change is not included in Enterprise Events/Usage Log reports.

User-Level Sharing Controls: Control sharing permissions at the User level
This request is specific to controlling external sharing permissions and defaults at the user level. For example, an admin should be able to permit whether a user can generate Open Shared Links (e.g., disable open links per user), invite external collaborators, and the default shared link permission that is generated by that user, even if those users are within a folder that has external sharing enabled.
30 votesWe are currently focused on building groups for access to 1st and 3rd party apps and specific enterprise settings in Box rather than focusing on groups or individual users for sharing controls. Uservoice request here: pulse.box.com/admin/v3/suggestions/36670615
To achieve granular sharing controls, you can explore using Box Shield to classify sensitive content and set access policies to that content.
