Add preset date ranges such as “Previous Month” when scheduling report generation
When scheduling report generation, it would be very helpful to have an option to select “Previous Month” (from the 1st to the last day of the previous month) as a preset date range.
It would also be useful to have additional preset options such as “Previous Year,” “Specific Month,” or “Specific Year” to easily configure commonly used reporting periods.2 votes -

Filter unmanaged users who have not been collaborated in the user detail report.
Content:
Currently, the user detail report cannot filter unmanaged users who have not been collaborated,
and it is necessary to check while cross-referencing with the user list on the Users and Groups screen.
Additionally, the unmanaged user list on the Users and Groups screen can take up to 24 hours to reflect changes,
which may cause discrepancies with the information at the time of report output, reducing operational efficiency.
I request the implementation of a feature that can filter unmanaged users who have not been collaborated.(日本語)

Identify which files and folders a user owns within a shared Teams folder, that are not shared or collaborated with others
We encountered a situation where certain files inside a shared drive were only visible to one user, while others couldn’t access them. This caused confusion because the files appeared to be part of the shared structure but were effectively private. A feature that highlights or filters these user-owned, non-shared items would help prevent misunderstandings and improve transparency.

Enable Reliable Exports for Large amount of Content
When there’s a large amount of content, the folder and file report export gets canceled. Please make it possible to complete the export.
If exporting everything at once is difficult, splitting is fine—please allow selecting multiple folders and batching the export instructions.

Request new report by file extension
While you can check rough file types from the storage in admin insights, there are many situations in operations where you need to understand capacity and file counts at the extension level. I would like to request a report that can show file sizes by extension. I also want it to support filtering by owner.

Adjust Platform Activity Report to be Relative Timezone to User/Browser
Currently, the date picker for admin reports is relative to a user's browser settings. However, the Platform Activity Report just uses Pacific time (PST). Often, this can be inconsequential/unnoticed, but under the right conditions, such as if a report is scheduled to run before 9 AM EST, the report needs to push into the prior day in PST, so the output displays essentially a 1 day offset. Co-admin permissions : report role has too many rights
If a user has only the report co-admin role ("Run new reports and access existing reports") to let him create reports for him, he can see other things in the admin console :
- Insights
- Content
- Reports (OK)
- Platform (with the Create Sandbox button !)Is it possible to secure this, so he can only see the Reports part ?

Expand Column for Files and Folders Report
Sometimes I have users who ask for a files and folder report on a particular folder. After I receive the report I have to create an additional column for a link to the file/folder. I just use the existing information in the report, replace all F with f in the Item Type Column, and concatenate function in excel to create this. Would just like this to be a native addition for the report.

Enable More than 2 Simultaneous Legal Hold Exports / Add Export Queue Management
Box currently limits legal hold exports to only two concurrent exports per account, which becomes a bottleneck when managing multiple cases, custodians, or data sets. There is no queueing mechanism or ability to start additional exports while the limit is reached—exports must be retried manually after completion. This slows down compliance workflows and creates operational friction for high-volume teams.

Regarding the time it takes for scheduled reports to be generated
Content: The Box support site mentions that report generation can take up to 12 hours.
Most reports are usually generated within a few minutes to a few tens of minutes, but scheduled reports often take about 12 hours to be output.
Although it is within the expected range, waiting half a day for the output affects business operations, so we request a functional improvement to shorten the time it takes for reports to be generated.(日本語)

API to execute and export Box report or notification services to receive alarts when usage is approaching or exceeding the allocated limit.
We would like to better monitor and manage the number of chargeable API calls, but without relying on manual checks via the Insights dashboard or executing and reviewing the Platform Activity Report (PAR). Instead, we seek a more automated and efficient solution.
Specifically, we request that Box either:
Provide a public API to retrieve relevant usage reports, or
Enhance the existing reporting functionality to allow administrators or designated users to receive alerts when usage is approaching or exceeding the allocated limit.
This would help ensure appropriate and proactive API usage management.

Request for API Access to Collaboration and Folder/File Reports for Admin
Hi Box team,
Ref case #3373797 and our recent conversation, we want to retrieve all collaboration data via the API instead of manually generating reports from the Admin Console. We understand report generation currently requires a manual trigger and no API exists for this.
The two main reports we’re interested in are:
- Collaborations
- Folders & FilesIs there any way to access these reports via API now or planned soon? If not, could you suggest any alternative for programmatic access?

User Activity Report - search by FILE ID
Enable Box Admins, when creating a User Activity Report to search by FILE ID .
Searching currently enables searches by file and folder NAME, and by FOLDER ID
Without this, it is necessary to run a UAR for the folder(s) in which the File ID has resided

Request to add output items to the Box Hubs Report
Could you please include the "Hub Settings" items in the output of the Box Hubs Report?
After a Hub is created, the creator configures access and collaboration settings for the Hub in "Hub Settings."
As Box administrators, we would like to have an overview of access and collaboration settings for each Hub.
While the settings can be checked individually in Content > Hubs by clicking into each Hub, it is necessary to open each one separately to confirm the configurations.
Therefore, it would be much more convenient if "Hub Settings" could be reviewed collectively in the report.16 votes -
File Request Upload report
Within either the user activity report or a new report, be able to report explicitly on files uploaded via File Request links, the report should allow for a File Request ID to allow for a specific upload set, or File Requests created by specific Users (including an option for File Request links where the link states 'Prior User'
The report should have the link, time/date, filename, path and size.Another option would be nice for a report that shows all inactive File Requests over the past, 30, 60, 90, 180, 360 days (or specific date from today)
