Box Drive does not allow aliases on MacOS. This continues to be an issue on MacOS Tahoe
All in the title. After remapping aliases that were left in the Archived Box Sync folder, moved them into Bob Drive locations and they aliases no longer work. While they worked correctly within the Archived Box Sync folder - they went bust on Box Drive locations.

Enhanced Hide Function for Drive Folders/Files
Starting with Box Drive v2.48, it has become possible to hide folders and files. This is a very welcome feature.
However, when the “Show hidden files” setting is enabled in File Explorer, even if you use the folder hide function in Box Drive, the target folder is only grayed out on the screen and not completely hidden.
Users would be pleased if a more complete hide function were implemented.

Please make sure that Box Drive automatically launches after every update.
If an update occurs before Box Drive launches when I start up my PC, Box Drive will stop launching automatically. This is especially true for Box Drive versions based on the new architecture, where I might not even notice that it hasn't launched, so I'd like it to launch automatically.

Redesigning Box Drive to Be More Resilient Against Ransomware Attacks
Due to the nature of Box Drive, once a ransomware attack occurs, it is easy for the damage to spread laterally, and the reality is that some companies with specific security requirements are unable to adopt it.
Of course, certain countermeasures can be implemented through the adoption of Shield Pro, the purchase of third-party products, or restoration operations. However, all of these require additional costs, and companies are often unwilling to approve them.
Please reconsider the architecture so that the native Box Drive becomes more resilient against ransomware attacks.2 votes -
Silent and Instant Copying of Shared Links in Box Drive
When using Box Drive via desktop sync (Mac=Finder, Windows=Explorer), selecting "Copy shared link" used to silently and instantaneously create a shared link and copy it to the user's clipboard. Since this was updated, a pop-up dialog opens in a new window and takes a few seconds to enable shared links and copy it to the clipboard. If the user navigates away from this window too quickly, the process does not complete, requiring them to start the process over. Then, upon completion, the user has to close the pop-up window.

Probelm: my academic papers are being flagged as HIPPA violations
Not really sure where to put this... I am a paleontology researcher so I put a lot of academic research articles on Box to keep them handy. Today, Box has started flagging these articles as containing confidential patient health information. These are research articles that have nothing to do with human subjects. I would like to report this as an inappropriate automatic tagging by Box's tools and have it removed so that I can access and download my files as normal.

Begin big UAC problems in windows
I have UAC problems after Box Drive install. my computer hide file dialogs commonly changing filename or delete or move files or folders at C: drive or insided files/folders. I am working problem without user files (user directory containing files example Desktop or Documents). I was change anything in C drive (also c drive insided files/folders like C:\Python\ ) the computer show dialog and i continued operations. Problem begin before Box Drive install. What is Box drive changed system settings. Please help me.

[Box Drive] Expiration date for Shared Links cannot be modified in Box Drive dialog despite being available on Box Web
[Summary]
When creating a Shared Link via Box Drive, the expiration date cannot be modified due to a permission message, even though the same file allows expiration date modification when accessed through the Box Web interface.[Current Behavior / Issue]

File Deletion Command
Hello,
I’d like to bring up a suggestion that could help prevent errors and the loss of important documents.I think it would be better—and essential—to move the “Trash” command, which is located in the drop-down menu (after clicking the three dots), well below the “Download” command.

Make the new "Copy Shared Link" pop-up window optional
This new pop-up window slows down my workflow. I understand some people benefit from it, but please consider a setting to disable the window for fast, high-volume workers.

Drive Map
It would be great if Box offered drive mapping with a drive letter, similar to Google Drive.
We've reached a bottleneck in our workflow because, as a content creation company, many of the applications we use such as Autodesk Maya require assets to be referenced using local file paths or mapped drive letters. Without this functionality, integrating Box into our production pipeline is difficult and limits its use for professional content creation workflows.

Naming the photos
I have a problem. Box app names the photos with ":" marks on the time stamp and my desktop app doesn't want to download the photos with ":" -markers. This is a bad bug. I didn't find any setting to adjust the structure of the photofiles name.

Box Drive performance is terrible
I have had a personal Box subscription for about 20 years and used Box Sync on multiple devices (PC, Mac, Mobile) with barely a hiccup in all that time. Rock solid and reliable. For the past few years I have had my Cursor/VS Code project folders stored in Box and synced along with lots of other general document files and everything just worked with minimal noticeable lag. So I didn't think twice about installing Box Drive to take over from Box Sync.

Show in Box Drive or Reveal in Finder from Box Web
When I am looking at file in Box on a web browser, I want a button that takes me straight to the file in Box Drive/a macOS Finder window. We can already do that in the other direction (see attached, "View on Box.com"); it would be convenient to be able to do this in both directions. I don't know what the Windows equivalent is. Sync Box to an external hard drive
This should go without saying, but internal hard disks are far too small for cloud storage to sync, especially when using the cloud storage for large files such as video editing. We have several Terabytes of data on ours that we access all the time, as a group of editors. It's an absolute dealbreaker that we're forced to use the default location of the local drive to sync files using Box Desktop, and we would like the option of choosing an external hard drive or even a secondary internal drive to sync to.
