    why sms? i was really surprised by this as I haven't used box in a while... it needs to be with a yubi key or at the least with an OTP app

    I'm really surprised this isn't available in 2020... we all know SMS is inherently insecure.

    Our auditor is going to require us to cease to use Box unless we can authenticate via something like Google Authenticator or a Yubikey. I'm fighting to keep Box, but if SMS 2-factor authentication is our only option, I will be overruled. And this is going to happen soon. I love Box and it is working very well for my team. I really don't want to lose it.

    Please, we have a sizeable company that would really rather not have to have everyone find SMS network where we know they can get Internet network. Please support TOTP and then Webauthn/FIDO2 (which are unphishable forms of 2FA credential), at some point.

    +1 Yubikey or Google Authenticator (or both). Avoiding the shortcomings and pitfalls of SMS wise. Hope Box will implement soon.

    Google Authenticator has to be added as SMS is an unsecure way of receiving codes.

    I am using Microsoft Authenticator and all my cloud registered with this app. eg. google. microsof., For google, it registers with QR code that use for 2 factor security, maybe Box app can do this?

    Definitely vote for alternative 2FA such as Google Authenticator or Yubikey
