Box for Mobile app needs to allow users to lock files while editing otherwise it creates work to manually reconcile the differences from all the duplicates that are created. This renders working on common documents by many users ineffective.

Locking on a mobile device would be nice, but we need robust locking in the Web app even more urgently, and that is currently not planned. Please see this item with 138 votes!

Today, the unability to lock a file from smartphone and tablet is a huge problem for using Box by fields teams, creating many conflicts on files.
Indeed, our fields teams don't want to use Box because this functionality is not vailable. -

hello,
I have a question about mobile users using the Box app for iPad. In the past, Box would lock an office file when opening it. When another use would try to open this same file, they would have the option called " Copy to Word" instead of Open in word.
Now this option is gone. Both users can work and create multiple version of the same file, with no cohesion. When is this functionality coming back?
