This is single-handedly the biggest thing that could be done to improve Box Drive, and maybe even Box as a platform.

There is not a single day that I do not spend time researching inadvertent file and folder moves that were made by associates. Having something like this would not only improve the user experience and the admin experience, but it would literally at this point change my life.

Please do it.

In Box Drive, moving folder to a different owner looks like it works (a folder dragged to new Box location in Box Drive/Finder appears in the new location), but it actually fails and an OS notification pops up only briefly. The suggested fix (if the user notices the problem and can find the message about it) is also not ideal -- Box wants you to manually move the folder back yourself, but if you don't see this message right away then you might not remember where you moved it from.

Ideally, this would warn the user about the change in ownership in an obvious way (e.g., with a pop-up that doesn't go away until dismissed), then allow the user to continue and complete the move if desired.

When I accidentally drag and drop a folder in Box Drive and try to move it back to the original location,
I keep getting an error message saying that the folder is locked and cannot be moved.
I would like to see a confirmation dialog when trying to move a certain number of files with Box Drive.
※I would like the dialog to be displayed instead of the folder lock API, because there are times when I actually want to move a file.
Box Driveでフォルダを誤ってドラッグ＆ドロップ移動し、大量ファイルの移動のためか、すぐに元に戻そうとしてもロックされているため移動できないとエラーが出るケースが発生する。
一定程度のファイル数をBox Driveで移動しようとしたとき、確認ダイアログを出すようにして欲しい。
※実際に移動したいこともあるので、フォルダロックAPIではなく、ダイアログ表示してほしい

There's another enhancement request with the same idea. Voting here as well as this is an ongoing issue for us where users accidentally drag and drop a folder somewhere unintentional, resulting in the folder/files "disappearing". Out admins constantly deal with this problem.

Yes please! I just accidentally moved all of my Box files to a collaborator's folder and lost ownership.

"external folder" that I've mentioned here means Box folder owned by unmanaged user (grey folder).

Also, this feedback shall includes the use case where user drag & drop (or copy/move) local files on the PC to the grey folder in Box Drive as well.

Just like below warning pop-up displayed in WebApp, Box Drive shall pop up a warning to let the user know the item ownership will be changed to external user, when moved to external folder. (also to prevent accidental moves)

This would be super beneficial - we have had users accidentally move large folders and the time to move them back can be quite a pain.

When the user move from the folder sharing with collaborators (the folder’s owner is others) to the private folder on Box Drive, it occur an error after a while. I think I want to inform the user prompty before doing that if their operation is wrong.
Please display an alert like same as operation on web UI before the user try to move folders on Box Drive.
