Sort underscores consistently
We would like for Box to sort files and folders the same as our computers. Right now, files and folders with an underscore at the beginning of the name are sorted at the end, but our computers sort them at the beginning.

how to unselect is not intuitive
If I have selected a file, to see its details etc. it's not obvious how to unselect it so I can go back to viewing the folder details.
I tried clicking on the whitespace (windows analogy) but it did nothing. After some random clicking about I found, to deselect I must click the "xxxx is selected" text at the top of the page. This doesn't seem intuitive. Perhaps adding a "cancel" cross next to it, similar to the "clear" buttons in search boxes would provide a clue.1 vote -
Set cookie to remember which Box enterprise the user last signed in as
The Box web app should set a cookie in the user's browser to remember the Box account they last signed in as, and take them directly to the SSO (or Box login) page for that enterprise, without the three intermediate steps where the user has to click "Not a part of External Org?", then enter their email address, then click Next, and only then get to their SSO screen.
This is an issue that often comes up when collaborating across enterprises.

Add ability to change sort order of comments
In the latest UI, comments on files are sorted in chronological order instead of reverse chronological order. I'd like the option to change my sort order so that newest comments are listed first.
18 votesAs part of the usability enhancements rolling out in the update noted here here – https://community.box.com/t5/Box-Product-Updates/Simplified-Sharing-Public-Beta/idi-p/64620 – we updated the Activity sidebar in Preview to sort comments with the latest comment at the bottom, aligning with the comment composer’s location at the bottom and to make way for future updates planned for the sidebar. As a result, we don’t plan to change sort order.

We want a way to change the screen layout of the Box WebApp
What we want to do:
・ I want to hide unused menus in the left menu (eg, hide favorites)
・ I want the left menu to be always displayed as an icon.

Allow user configurable files and folder list length in list view
As we move file shares into Box, we are getting more and more users who want to see/configure a longer list(or possibly scrollable list) in the files/folder list view. Essentially, they don't want to have to click every 20 files or so to browser their way through a list of 1000 files in a folder -- they just want to see what's there.

Request to improve the collaborator list on webapp
[Issue]
First, create folder A in the first directory and invite user “X” to that folder.
Next, create a folder B in the first directory and invite the same user “X”.
Then put folder B into folder A.・Clicking on folder B will display two “X” accounts in the [Sharing] tab. If you click once on a web page other than folder B, the “X” display on the [Sharing] tab changes to only one.
・Right-click on folder B>[More Actions]>[Manage Collaborators] screen, two “X” accounts are displayed.Above behavior is not user friendly. We would like box to improve this.

Show same timestamp web vs. Box drive
To migrate from file share to use box, we initially uploaded the content from our file server via FTP. We managed to se the original timestamp of last file modification. So we get shown this timestamp at client side using box drive. But the web app shows the timestamp of uploading the file. Please make it show the same timestamp as BOX drive!

Preview in my locale, not US (date formatting)
When using the Excel preview and a date format that should respect my locale, Box uses US as default. US date format is the world's littlest used format, used only by the USA.
It should respect my chosen region from my preferences. But doesn't.3 votes -
A-Z jump list on All Files just for folders
Just below the all files on the main web app screen an A-Z bar allowing the user to jump to folder that start with the letter clicked.

Improve Find in Page with infinite scroll
The in-browser search (Ctrl + F) doesn’t let us highlight matching words all at once. As you scroll, words that are loaded later are not highlighted. Once the search reach the end of page, it fails to return to the top of the page. We want the ability to highlight all the matching words that are displayed in the same page at once.

Allow Box to be used while connected to Cisco AnyConnect Secure mobility client
While connected to Cisco AnyConnect Secure mobility client you are unable to access the Box web app to download, view, or upload files. The hurdle of having to close any work you are doing which requires a VPN and then open box to download, view, or upload files meanwhile being unable to work on any VPN work items can slow down productivity.

Allow users to change the default Lock settings. Instead of Unlimited, they should be able to change the default.

dropbox style commenting
Dropbox allows you to highlight part of an image or even a time in a video and have a linked comment in the sidebar.
Box is halfway there, but this Dropbox feature is amazing for collaborating on documents as you don't have to explain in detail what part of the image/file you discussing - just highlight and comment is linked.

Web App Search: Ability to highlight matching words

Not able to access comments bar
This is not an idea. It's a complaint.
Recently, I'm often not able to show the comments bar on the right-hand side. For example, on page X, I'm able to see the comments bar, hide it if I want, and click on the little speech bubble to show it again. Meanwhile, on page Y, there is no speech bubble, so I cannot get the comments bar to appear. This happens sporadically and usually lasts for 30 or so minutes. After going back, refreshing the page to check multiple times, it's usually resolved itself in about 30 minutes. This is incredibly…1 vote -
Drag and Drop between two browser tabs of the Box Webapp
Allow drag and drop of files and folders from the Box Webapp on one browser tab to the Box Webapp in another browser tab. We often need to search through a large list of project related files to find the place we would like to store information that was created in multiple task related folders. We want to be able to open a task related folder on one tab and the project folder on another tab and then just drag and drop between the tabs. Copy collaborator access when copying folders
When copying a collaborated folder structure to a new location, users should be given the option to apply all the collaborations of the original to the copied structure.
