I want to make files public without needing to share a link so that a whole team or set of people ca view them.

Add file count to Folder Properties
Folder properties on browser based app should display the number of files in the folder. We use Box for photoshoot asset sharing while still in production (before moving to our DAM) and it's really a pain to verify file count.

Shared Link Dashboard
Customers want to have the ability for a user to see and manage a dashboard of all the shared links they own. Admins should be able to get a global view within the tenant. The dashboard should show if a link is public or has an expiration date and allow the user to modify it as such.

Specify a dynamic port for "OAuth 2.0 Redirect URI”
Following the "LoopbackInterfaceRedirection" specification described in "RFC 8252 OAuth 2.0 for Native Apps", I would like to configure Box to receive the authentication code on an unused free port on Windows and send it to the Box custom app configuration screen (https://app .box.).
However, it is not possible to specify a dynamic port for the "OAuth 2.0 Redirect URI" in the Box custom app configuration screen (developers/console/app/xxxx/configuration).
I would like you to specify the dynamic port as per the specification of "LoopbackInterfaceRedirection" described in "RFC 8252 OAuth 2.0 for Native Apps".1 vote -
Enhance Box for Gmail attachments, to show recent files.
When attaching a file I just worked on, I often need to click through five or more pages of alpha-sorted folders to find the file I want. Recents don't always populate as I would expect. Could we have a toggle for the folder view to sort by Recents OR Alphabetical, especially in Favorites? Or make the default sort by most recent first for all views?

We would like Box to have a secure calendar available for office use.
We would love if Box had their own calendar available for office use. I work for a mobile anesthesiologist. We use Box to store patient info/files. Right now we use Google calendar for scheduling purposes, but can't put any patient information on it, as it's not secure. It would be great if Box had a secure calendar that we can use for scheduling. Mostly we would like if we can copy a patient's file to the day they are scheduled, so all of the info the doctor needs for the day is all in one place.

Embedded Widget Video or Link Video
For Videos that are Tagged for View Only (Embedded or Link) types... Remove the Log in and Sign Up options on the Top Right of the Video Player. My goal is to eliminate the possible Move away from my Web Page that is presenting the Video so that I can take full advantage of my Visitor's presence.

Enable someone to invite others to edit a file or folder through a Shared Link, NOT as a Collaborator.
Currently, I can invite someone to edit my files/folders as a collaborator, but I cannot invite them to edit my files/folders through a Shared Link.
Google Workspace offers this.

Document ID on Documents
We would love to be able to have the document ID either added to the document itself, say in the footer, or be added to the name of the document when opening.
That is pretty standard for most document management systems these days.
You will see documents named "12345 v2 Settlement Case" (where the v2 normally indicates the version of the document). It would be nice to be able to have this set at the user level so the user can decide if the doc ID and version are necessary for them.

Improved messaging for "Share" dialog box and handling of Links
I have been using Box for a couple of years and still find the Share function and creation of Links very confusing and non-intuitive. For example, what are "Invited People?" and how are they different than 'People with the Link?" Why have 2 different places to copy the link? One is on the first dialog box and it appears that one takes the viewer to Box.com and they can view or download the file, but then if you click on "Link Settings" adifferent dialog box opens and there is another link you can copy. This one says Direct Link above…

Ability to have Automatic sorting enabled post file rename
It would be nice to have Box simply update a name after the file has been renamed. As of right now, it's difficult to start on a folder renaming image files, closing out, then coming back in and all of the files have been automatically sorted alphabetically, which is a nightmare for images that have ascending or descending filenames. If we could just save changes as-is and have everything still in place when we log back in after closing out of the folder, that would be very useful so that one could simply pick back up where they left off.

Templates for Comments
When someone sends me a document I did not ask for ... I want to know three things ... what is it ... why are you sending this to me ... and what, if anything, do you want me to do with it ...? Would be nice if I could create a template for comments, like we have in notes, where someone could select a custom template (like the one I just described) and answer it in the comments section of a document.
