Real time collaborative PDF markup between multiple users. Similar to how the iwork suite can be used collaboratively but with PDF. Drawing tools and iOS integration would be important. maybe using something like https://www.pdftron.com

Disable Preview Thumbnail feature
It would be good to have a profile setting to disable the Preview Thumbnail feature for my account. The feature should also remember whether you toggle the feature off for a specific file, so you don't have to repeatedly toggle it every time you view the file.

Trash file from its preview
The trash command is missing from within the "..." button of the document view.
The workaround requires a lot of extra steps: navigate to the parent folder, select the file, trash the file.
Moreover it is not consistant with what is possible with folders: you can trash a folder from its own view.51 votes -
Ability to download comments and print comments
Would like the ability to download and/or print comments associated with a file. Perhaps via additional selections to "Download Comments" and "Print w/Comments".
I understand downloading comments may need to be a separate file as the content could be in various application types and comments are not created in that document type. Printed files convert to PDF so it would be great if the comments could be converted to PDF and added directly to the printed file.
Downloading and printing comments has been a request on the Box Community site from multiple people who have also listed some of their…

Add-ons tab and drawing ability
The one crucial thing is that people cannot today leave google docs or other Word editing software. Because the G-suite integration misses the add-ons tab. You can buy stuff via the add-ons tab in google drive, like icons and symbols. These cannot be used in the g suite integration.
Also the draw option is not available. I want to be able to draw tables and figures in my documents, i can't do that. So if im Writing in a document, at some Point i have to stop and refer back to google drive, which makes the whole idea of using…

Improve annotations for Box Previewer UI element
One of the main feature of our proof-of-concept utilizes Box’s concept of collaborations. We want to demonstrate beyond the capability of the basic file/folder sharing by utilizing the Box Previewer UI element and enabling the annotation feature. The annotation is such a great feature to enhance business and client relationship in the digital space. We implemented this feature however we found there are some challenges and we are hoping Box can help us find a solution to create a better experience.
We were able to activate the annotation but only within app users. Both our employee entities and customer entities…

Allow Previewer Role the ability to search (ctrl+F) within a file
We would like to limit download of a file, but allow for the ability to Search the file on box (i.e. view it and search it for keywords).
11 votesOn account of our security stance we don’t want to expose the text layer unless a user has permission to download a file. As the text layer is required to initiate search we can not activate the feature for users who don’t have download permissions

Add a threaded ‘Reply’ button to comments and @mentions
When you are @mentioned, replying to the sender with @mention requires many clicks. It would be simpler to be able to reply to the sender in one click (i.e. add a comment with sender already @mentioned)

Currently, if there are annotations on a file, these are not downloaded when the file is downloaded from Box.

Add "expand all" flag for annotations
Currently, all point/comment annotations are collapsed by default.
If a user leaves many annotations on a multi page document, this can lead to some point annotations being missed.
There should be an expand all option to mitigate this.

Allow no logo to be displayed via API while allowing customers to display their own logo for standard web app.
It would be best if we could display no logo at all for API-generated embed / previews.

PDF Bookmark for Box Preview
When a PDF files is viewed through a standard browser plugin, a hyperlink can be created to directly navigate to a specific bookmark, but this functionality is missing in the Box Preview.
For instance, if a professor wants to make a textbook reference (to a specific chapter/page number), it would prevent confusion and save the end user from having to scroll through the pages.
