  1. Quarantined Files - View Folder Path

    Currently an admin looking at the Quarantine section of Content Manager is not shown any information about where the file was attempted to be uploaded, which is also where the file will exist if the admin clicks 'restore' (approves) the file.

    REQUEST: Provide location information for quarantined files such as the folder path, owner, uploader, etc. This information is already in the policy violation email that's sent to admins, so it should also be available in Content Manager.

    We are not currently making any vast improvements on quarantine in the short term. This is still helpful. We will reconsider it when working on this feature area.

  4. Enhance the 'Storage Aggregate' Chart in Admin Console - Allow Exporting & Adjustments

    The 'Storage Aggregate' chart on the homepage of the Admin Console is currently the only way for an admin to see/view the total storage used on a daily basis within their EID

    As such, we should enhance this chart in the following ways:
    1. Allow this chart to be expanded/made bigger
    2. Allow customization of the time period - 'show me total daily storage over the past 2 weeks, or month, etc.'
    3. All exporting of the total daily values into a simple CSV/Excel report

    This suggestion is not under consideration for the current or future roadmap. We are currently focusing on making it easier to to view, edit, and delete users in the Users & Groups tab.

  7. Provide total number of files in Account info

    Currently if you go to Admin Console > ent settings > account info, we can see total storage space used in the Box instance. Can you add total # of files in the enterprise?

  8. Report of all comments in a folder

    This report would include a each file name and any comments/captions related to the file. This could be used to quickly identify files with similar names, such as images uploaded through Box Capture.

  9. Edit User - Add 'Device Name' and 'Device ID' to Installed Applications Section

    The 'Installed Applications' section when editing a user on the Managed Users page currently only shows Application Type (e.g., iPhone) and Install Time.

    This is problematic when a user has multiple devices (e.g., two entries for iPhone or 2 entries for Sync due to being logged in on more than one device).

    Box already tracks Device Name and Device ID in the export of Usage Logs for 'Add Device Association', so Box should also expose this information on the Managed Users page.

    This suggestion is not under consideration for the current or future roadmap. We may revisit adding new functionality to the Installed Apps section with more customer requests for this data.

  10. Send a notification sent to user's when their password is about to expire.

    We use read only sync as a primary use case. Because users do not log into the webapp, they are not aware when their password expires and files are not being synced.

  11. Custom messages, settings and language depending on geography.

    We need a different trash setting to the global instance due to european law.

    We would also like to push different messaging, welcome screens, languages to dependent on regions for adoption purposes.

    This is not currently planned on the roadmap. The suggested workaround is to manage different users in different EID.

  12. More granular setting options for users set to "Inactive" in the Admin Console

    We would like two sub options for accounts set to "Inactive" status in the Edit User Profile details (in addition to the existing Inactive setting behavior):

    Inactive sub-option 1: Enable a warning for all existing shares and collaborations that the Inactive user owns. If another user is accessing a folder owned by the Inactive user, they should be informed that the content could be deleted with the deletion of the account, and that a copy should be taken quickly.

    This is a good use case, but other user statuses might partially solve some of these needs. Let us know in the comments if it does not.

  13. Dashboards - Enhanced (and Exportable) Dashboards in Admin Console

    This request is for enhanced dashboards inside the Admin Console, specifically:
    1. Exportable dashboards
    2. Customizable - add options to choose custom date ranges, etc.
    3. Allow for a 'double click' into the charts to see far more information - for example, don't just show me the top 5 users by storage total (like we do now) -- also allow me to 'double click' on that chart to see my top 100 or 500 even.

    We intend to improve the Insights dashboard to provide more interactivity and customization. We will be working on the prerequisites to enable those improvements this year and will revisit these suggestions once they have been completed.

  14. Add more robust migration options when deprovisioning

    A customer gave feedback about when a user is deprovisioned. Rather than transfer all the users content to a new user, they would like to have an option to only transfer content that is collaborated. All personal content should be deleted or marked for deletion via retention policy. There should also be an option to manage any publicly shared links.

  15. ADD LOCKED FOLDERS LIST IN THE USER ACTIVITY REPORT

    Currently we have no way to look up which holders are locked via FolderLockAPI.
    To avoid any trouble not knowing who has been locked,
    we'd like to request to add the locked folders list in the user activity report.

  16. Managing Groups

    ■Request
    For "Group Management", we would like to request the permission settings that meet the following requirements.
    ・Can freely create groups
    ・Can only manage groups created by themselves
    ・Cannot manage groups for the entire tenant

    Currently, a group administrator can have administrative rights for only certain groups, but cannot create groups.
    We would like to achieve the above by segmenting the "Group Management" authority of co-administrator or expanding the "Group Administrator" authority. Could you consider it?

  17. Allow the use of Linux devices as approved devices.

    We had Linux based user using Box web console and as of the July update, they are no longer able to access Box. I would like to see Linx OS be added to the approved Operating Systems list in the Admin Console for enterprise settings.

  20. Add or modify accepted invite action so that an admin can easily see all folders that a user has auto-accepted

    If a user invites a set of users that has auto-accept invites on, the action the invitation shows up under is >Auto accepted collaboration invite<. You cannot search for the user that accepted it. This action shows under the user that invited the collaborator.

    However, if the user does not have auto-accept on, it shows up under both >invited collaborator< and >accepted invite.<

    Basically, if a user does not have auto-accept on, it is easy to find accepted invite and what folders they manually accepted. If a user has auto-accept on, there is no way to search for them easily…
