Search within Folder - End User have option to turn this on as default
Our users have a lot of problems with not having this be a sticky default. Obviously this isn't the answer for everyone but we want the ability to at least choose to make it a default
0 votesThank you for your suggestion! We’ve received feedback from customers both ways (wanting search within folder to be default on vs. off) and we will leave it defaulting to off.
It’s a very confusing experience for users searching if they don’t realize it’s limited to the folder they’re in.

Invite Collaborators Pop-Up: Add Optional 'Automatically Remove Collaborator on X Date' Field
Right now, auto-expiration for collaborators is only provided as an option from within the Admin Console.
REQUEST: Add a 'automatically remove this/these collaborator(s) on X date' checkbox to the Invite Collabs Pop-Up, with the default being to have it unchecked, of course.
We have API endpoints already to add an expiration to an individual collaboration (https://docs.box.com/v2.0/reference#edit-a-collaboration), meaning admins can do this on our own via API. We would like the same type of option/functionality natively in the webapp UI as well.

Messaging in the audio/video preview playback that says the file is down sampled.
If a company is sending media content via shared links to their customers/clients, the end user will not intuitively know that the file is down sampled. The audio or video quality can be much worse in the Box preview than if you download it and listen to it there.

Time code to be displayed in the HD video player
QuickTime Player used to fill this need and was used in our internal media asset management applications, but Apple stopped supporting it and it has some serious security issues

Add the ability to add a subject line when emailing out shared links directly within Box
Many of our most senior executives receive multiple shared links from the same user for different projects.
Unfortunately as there is no subject line it's difficult for them to know which links they are clicking without having to open up the email and read the message if any.

Shared link expiration based on number of downloads
User would like shared links to expire after a certain amount of downloads.

Add print functionality under "more options" tab on file level list instead of having to go to preview or open the file
Currently it is only possible to print a document from the preview window or by opening the document.
Request: consistency of experience and adding an option on the file list level (under More Options)

Folder Settings: Add 'automatically remove invited collaborators' at the folder level (user defined)
Currently, "Automatically remove invited collaborators" can be set up only in Admin Console -> Enterprise Settings, but some customers are requesting to set up in Folder Settings (meaning at the folder level) because it enables more granular security settings.
7 votesThe usability complexity of this feature would not be worth the small benefit it would provide to a small minority of users.I would suggest instead instead using the existing workaround of Shared Link Expiration.

Prompt for Folder Moves
Add a prompt when moving a folder to ensure a customer wants to perform the action before moving into a folder.

Server side un-zipping of files
Some teams share very large (multi-GB) zip files and a separate team members need to see the contents of these zips.
Having the full team wait for Box Edit Open with Compressed (zip file) option or using Box Sync are our only workarounds today and not time or network efficient for users.
