Group Notifications
Add the ability to notify groups; i.e. @mention in comments, assigned task notifications in the activity pane and in Relay
78 votesWe are definitely tracking this feature, but it is not yet on the roadmap for delivery.
How would envision managing your groups?
Would you want to sync with an existing directory, or create the Groups directly in Box?

Add @mentions using enter key
It would be nice to not have to put your cursor over the persons name and then hit enter after the name has shown. Rather, the name shows, hit enter, boom, done! No extra key strokes irritating my mouse arm!

Make all notifications visible at-a-glance again. This functionality was just removed.
As of today, employees in our company are noticing that the full Notifications page is no longer available in Box Web, and notifications have been moved to a small drop-down menu in the corner. A chat with a member of Box support confirmed that this is a product-wide change.
The problem with this drop-down menu is that comments cannot be read in full anymore, as they are being truncated to fit in the small pane.
Can either 1) the full Notifications page be made available again for users/organizations who wish to keep it, or 2) the new drop-down menu have…

Enable Fast Push Notifications for Metadata Changes.
Enable Fast Push Notifications for Metadata Changes.
Nationwide is a platform customer who is customizing Box’s UI elements to support a new version of their Claim Center application. One of their usecases requires nearly instantaneous notification for metadata updates. The Event Stream is not an appropriate source because of the delay associated in parsing.
This functionality would 100% be used by Nationwide.

Disable shared link expiration notifications
This unstoppable auto-notification [for shared link expiration], specifically, is the worst. While we are a fairly small firm, we use Box pretty extensively and we use shared links pretty extensively. All of our shared links automatically expire. As a result, my inbox is continuously inundated with this notification (we’re talking nearly 100, each day). I don’t have the time to look at each and review them. I don’t know if anyone could ever actually have the time to review them and make any kind of meaningful decision or conclusion based on, what is effectively, spam. With no way to stop…

Notification when a collaborator is removed
We would love it if there were a way to get immediately notified if the “System Account” group were ever to be removed in the future.

Update removed the ability to view notifications on a single page. You have to scroll through them from the top tool bar. Please add back!
The newest update removed the ability to view notifications (@mentions, etc) on a single page. You have to scroll through them from the top tool bar. This makes these difficult to managed properly. This needs to be added back ASAP!

Dashboard
There should be a Box Dashboard that people stay on all day. Emailed @mentions are not effective

Turn off notification that people outside the organization can view a file when copied
When I copy a file, I get a pop up saying people outside my organization can see it. I don't need to get that pop-up.

Change Sender name to "Box" or "Box Updates" instead of the user's name
Collaboration Invite notification emails currently pull the inviting user’s Display Name from the Sender line and putting it in the From line. This means that while the email is coming from noreply@box.com, it still has the user’s name like the email has come from them directly.
This can cause conflicts with mail servers that flag emails based on Display Name and email origin. It would be preferable to simple have all notification emails from Box leave Box or Box Updates in the Display Name field, rather than spoofing the acting user’s name.

Action taken in Box to trigger notification to other programs
Outcomes that call out to other systems. E.g.: our marketing team would want a Slack notification every time something gets uploaded to their “review” Box folder and other similar things.

Full path to the file in notification e-mails
I'd like to ask for adding full path to the file (especialy first level) in notification e-mails to use Outlook rules. Starting this year everybody is a member of many BOX groups - less or more important. It would be very usefull to split the notifications into folders.

Hide annoying Move Items security warning popup message
Ability to suppress user popup security notification that warns about moving file will make content available to anyone with the link and to collaborators outside of your company.
Move Items
This content will be available to anyone with the link and to collaborators outside of your company.
You have chosen to move the selected item to the folder 'folder-name'. This folder has collaborators outside of your company and has a public shared link enabled. Do you want to continue?

folder notification
Notifications about folder activity for emails who are not collaborators in the folder.
Use case: Our end users are not allowed to access cloud data sites on our corporate network per compliance regulations thus them not being added as a collaborators. I sync the folders down to our file servers and share them creating a two-way data sync between our end users and their clients who use the website. I’ve just been asked to supply alerts when a client performs activities in shared folders but can’t do so directly because I can’t add specific email addresses to the alerts.

Forward Antivirus Protection notifications to specific definable email addresses
As of now, only Site Admin and Content Owners will receive notifications from the Box Antivirus protection feature. We would like the ability to send those notifications to definable addresses within our organization. This will ensure our Security Team gets all the proper notifications and not just the Site Admin and Content Owner.
The work around at the moment is to have the Site Owner setup forwarding Rules in their e-mail application.
