Box Canvas files should be able to be used in mobile apps.
We would like to use Box Canvas on our smart devices and would like Box Canvas to be available on Box for EMM.

Canvas feature improvements
After trying Canvas it looks like in order to get more use out of this compared to other open white board on the market it really does need allow more flexibility and improvements such as:
- Ability to allow GIF's for presentations.
- Allow links/ bookmark to files within box within a text box.
- Allow preview box of a video or crop a video within box to show a snippet of the video for presentation.
- Allow a preview link/ bookmark to Audio file to play.
- Currently drawn notes or shapes only allow corners to expand, it would help to add in side…

No "print" option like in Box Notes
There's no way to export or print the Canvas. This ability exists in Miro, so if Canvas were to offer this, we could likely cut out our Miro licenses. This ability exists today in Box Notes, so it would make sense for it to be available in Canvas as well.

3rd Party Integrations and Pull Data from Other Sources
We would love to see Box Canvas have robust integration capabilities (e.g. MS Suite, Zoom, Miro, Mural, etc.) It would be great if we had the ability to pull data in from other sources (for example, MS Excel) to Box Canvas.

Need to be able to pick my own RBG colors
The color options are very limited. If I were to use this for my company's diagramming tool of choice, we would need to be able to load in our own color palette.

Consumes a lot of PC resources.
I am using BoxCanvas in low-resolution mode.
It is Windows with a core i5 CPU and 8GB memory.
I use Chrome as my browser, but it consumes a lot of CPU and memory. I would like to be able to use it comfortably without a high spec machine.9 votes -

Lock content areas
Add the ability for the board owner to lock some content so that people cannot move it by accident. It helps when collaborating on a board with multiple users.

UX is slightly different than Box Notes
Notes from left pane takes you to your notes inbox. Canvas creates a blank canvas in your default save. It would be a more congruent experience if the UX matched

Adding custom shapes to Canvas
I would like to be able to add shapes to Canvas, for example the AWS shape library to mirror the behaviour of another white boarding tool we're currently using.
This would allow us to collaborate on complex architecture diagrams using very specific shapes/icons.
Some ways this could be introduced:
-shapes available to all Canvas users
- or the ability to add templates pre-populated with custom shapes
-or the ability to upload custom shapes for the entire instance5 votes -
Create content "frames" in Canvas
Add a "frame" option as a new structural element distinct from a shape. Frames would allow you to move all the content inside it, and when you zoom out on a board, the caption of the frames should display so you can easily see all the frames and what they're about.

Canvas integration into Zoom
Once canvas is available, there should be an integration into zoom so people can use Box Native canvases in Zoom, and the result should save automatically into Box.

the ability that allows users to add each image pages of a PDF ducoment in Box Canvas
we want a feature that allows users to add images of each page of a document in Box Canvas.
Onenote has a same kind of feature. We are thinking ot switch from OneNote to Box Canvas, so we want to add images of each page and then add comments to those images.
currently we can not add each page of a PDF including 100 or more pages on Canvas.4 votes -
Functional improvement of Box Canvas
I'd like to see more color variations (pastel color selection should be available).
The aspect ratio of stickies is fixed, so please make it more flexible (e.g., make them longer horizontally).4 votes -
Visual indicator when Box Canvas user is just a viewer, not editor
When using Canvas as a viewer, the user may try to vote on the sticky notes, or try to locate the toolbar, and think that something is broken, when in reality they are looking for features available to editors only.
We should consider adding some visual indicator of the "view only" status e.g. a banner or a badge at the top, an icon over which a user can hover over to get more info, or an icon by the cursor arrow to indicate editing is disabled.

Need the ability to upload an image as a background. This will help with any use case for ideation sessions or anywhere you want co-workers to move things around on a map, grid, four-box etc.

Explain navigation mode
Choosing the navigation mode (trackpad or mouse) is not evident and the navigation is not natural when you are on trackpad mode but using a mouse. Ther should be an interface explaining it is possible to change it

Request for additional functions to BoxCanvas
We have received requests from users to add the following functions to BoxCanvas as well as BoxNote.
A function to display a preview of the URL.

A specification that can change the settings for multiple objects at once
I would hope the specification that can change the size, color, text, etc. of multiple objects at once.

I'd like an easy way to add emoji icons to a Canvas, both to help people express their thoughts and opinion on a topic, but also to help me create a more visually captivating Canvas e.g. flags, process flow icons etc
