Save the default view for STL files on upload
We would like the ability to save the default view for STL files to save the orientation, render mode, and camera projection within the web preview
We used to be able to save the default view for STL files within a Box3d Metadata of the file. We no longer have that ability.

Removing files from a single page of a multi-page folder shows confusing message
After deleting all items from one page (of multiple) of a Folder’s content, the page says “There are no items in this folder.”
This is not accurate since there are other pages of content within the folder.
Can this be changed as it can be confusing?

Box Note "Active Shared Link" indicator on Sidebar Box
The only way currently to know if a Box Note has an Active Shared Link is to go to the folder which contains it (in the regular Box.com UI, not the Box Notes UI), and look for the "Active Shared Link" icon on the row for the .boxnote file.
I suggest adding this same icon to the sidebar box for the note in the Box Notes UI (i.e. the box you click to load the note in the main right-hand pane).

Allow Search API call to search using wildcards
if I wanted to get the item ids of all files within a users account, I would have to run the Get Folder Items for all subfolders. If there’s a large folder tree, it would either take to long to iterate through all subfolders or I would run into an API rate limitation. It would be easiest if the Search API call can allow searching using wildcards so it would just take one API call to get a list of all item ids.

Get list of service accounts via API
Right now the only way to get a list of automation users (service accounts) is via the web UI. The application does not have UI access, and since the users can be provisioned and deleted frequently, we do not want to rely on the manual work.

Ability to change idp name.
Once customer set up SSO connection, that IdP name stays there even after they switch to new IdP. It's UI misrepresentation.
For example, a company may initially setup SSO with Azure using SelfService. If they switch to Okta, the Azure language will remain.11 votes -
The ability to add an auto-expiration on specific external collaborators access to a specified file or folder.
I would like an Expiration option date picker to be added to the Collaboration Invite window. This will allow our company to let a user privilege expire without us being forced to expire by auto-deleting a folder, or sharing a link that expires but can also be shared with others in the meantime.
16 votesUnfortunately this is not planned in the near-term, but please do keep adding use cases so we can consider this request for the future.

Log logs reporting
There is no event logged when a user reports user activity or security logs. Could be worth to log that event along with the report criteria to be able to rack unusual reporting.

User Activity report should have logs for “New version upload”
At present, it only shows as “Edit” and if a new version with a different name was uploaded on a file by mistake, the admin will not be able to find out what happened by searching for the file name.

Could you please provide a full GXP Compliance framework ?
Up to now, 80% are covered by Box GXP and the other 20% need services from consultancy company such as USDM.

Add rich sharing features from webapp to Drive
Would love to be able to have more of the rich sharing functionality from the webapp available in the Box Drive UI, specifically for configuring sharing options (password, expiration etc).

Block users by geography
We'd like the ability to block users from accessing our Box environment from certain geographical areas, via a control in the admin console’s insights page (the geographic activity area).
3 votesWhile we like this idea, it is not currently planned at this time.

Display pop-up when opening a locked file.
The lock icon is small and users can overlook this and try to edit the file without knowing that it is opened read-only.

Remove message model when changing owners
We would like message prompts that come up whenever with changing owners to be gone within the move and copy module so moving items between different folders is faster and quicker.

Filter folders by date modified when selecting "Move or Copy"
Would like to have the ability to filter folders by date modified when selecting "Move or Copy." Currently files are organized by alpha and I have to scroll through files to find the one I recently created.

Ability to white label the url from [company].box.com to box.[company].com to see white clients have blocked box
Some of our clients office networks (law firms) block box.com and because of browser cross site restrictions, they can't actually tell it's being blocked so its difficult to handle smoothly
7 votesNot planned at this time. We will revisit this with additional demand.

Permissions for forensic investigations
Would like a “forensic” co-admin permission. The “forensic” co-admin permission would have the permission to “login as…” any user; however, any action they take “as user” will not be reported either in access stats or in other user accessible reports.
This will allow our team to conduct forensic investigations without alerting the end user.
