Box mobile UI
I am taking a photo from the box capture widget on my iPhone.
The shutter button automatically moves to the center of the screen when transitioning to landscape mode.
This is very inconvenient and I think it would be better to learn from the photo app and assign the volume button to the shutter release.1 vote -
Disable Get Started with Box PDF
When a new account is created, the Get Started with Box PDF is added to the user's account. All users within my organization are editors and this becomes an issue when the user's account becomes disabled. We are unable to delete the user's account without transferring owned data to another account first. Considering this file is the only file a user owns, it creates additional work to transfer and delete the file. It would be beneficial to have this option disabled that adds the PDF added to the user's account upon creation.

Make future Terms of Service updates accessible to non-visual users/available on a.box
We have blind and low vision members of our Box team. They typically use a.box to conduct business with us. These team members lost access to files with the recent Terms of Service update (March 2023) and I'm told by those users that a.box did not offer any explanation, and the Terms of Service acceptance form was not available to them on the platform. They had to log in to the main Box.com platform to find that form, and it was not accessible for non-visual users there. Add metadata to multiple files (without using a folder cascade)
I was wondering if it would be possible to add the possibility to add metadata to different pictures/files at the same time. We know it's possible to add meta data to a whole folder, but we would like the same to be possible for a selection of pictures within a folder. It is possible to add tags in this way, but not meta data.

Make 2FA via SMS in Box Sign the First Step, Not Last
Box Sign offers a 2F authentication method via SMS, however, on the signer does not have to complete the 2FA until the very last step. This poses challenges for our use case as we have PHI data on the documents requiring signature so we need this authentication to occur FIRST rather than LAST to ensure that we have authenticated the user before they can even view the document.

Ability to moderate/pre-validate comments
Some files in Box have a very wide diffusion (All the company so about 1,5/2K people).
We would like to moderate the comments.
The function we want is a folder parameter stating that all comments on any file in this folder would be validated by the owner ou co-owner of the folder.1 vote -
API Call to return all items within the parent directory.
It would be extremely helpful if you could call the box api to return a complete list of the existing directory in an account. For example, the call could return a json file that contained a usable layout of folders within folders, down to the individual file level. Automation for file operations could be built on this. It would remove the need to recursively call the API to get down to the lowest level of folders to find files.

View right holder to download the watermarked files from box drive.
that way, people with view right do not need to go box.com website and download each file.
+ it will be great if they could download including folder trees with watermarked files(Pdf, ppt, excel etc).

Box Sign import tool request for migrating content over from DocuSign I.E. metadata, saved PDF's etc.
Implement a way for an import tool they can use to bring executable PDF's from their users on DocuSign to make it easier for maintaing some of these PDF's and metadata, or will he need to login to each user on DocuSign, download their user executed PDF’s and re-upload them to Box?

Please improve the tasks upper limit 20,000.
The following page says "Maximum number of Tasks per user: 20,000" and we know that if the number exceeds 20,000 tasks will no longer appear in the Tasks Inbox as an example.

Ability to create Powerpoint presentation directly from a template
Our company has a template that we should use to create PowerPoint presentations. But there is no way to directly create a powerpoint from a template in Box. The templates can either be saved on OneDrive (which beats the purpose of using Box) or on desktop app (which doesn't sync with Box). Currently I have a few workarounds like copy/edit an existing file or create one on desktop and then save the file on Box. Pulling file-level user activity reports in bulk
I am trying to run a user activity report in Box. What I am hoping to see is which users accessed a set of files during a certain period of time.
I ran the User Activity report in Reports against the parent folders that I was hoping to review, the activity log that came back only shows actions taken on the parent folders, no activity is shown for any of the files within the folders.
Support has confirmed that there is no way to run this report against the sub-folders and sub-files of the folders selected.

Add group members to new group by combining existing groups
I created a new group that will have all the people in 2 existing groups as members. This will be over 70 users in total. Currently I have to enter every single user, but I would like to simply add all members of group A and all members of group B to create the membership of the new group.

Don't strike out text on check boxes in Box Notes
Users use the check box feature in Box Notes to track todo items. When those are complete, clicking the checkbox is enough of an indication that the item is complete, there is no need to also strike out the text and gray out the font. That only makes it difficult to view the original item and copy/paste those lines for other uses. At least give them option to NOT strike out the text!

Enable 2FA renewal requirement options for external collaborators
Background:
2FA for external collaborators does not require a re-2FA. The only way an external person will have to re-2FA is if they switch browsers or clear cache/history. I have an external user that set up 2FA in November of 2021 that hasn’t had to re-2FA to our box environment since. It has been so long that she didn’t even remember setting it up (it is Aug ’22 now).
