Create Setting to be able to 'Hide' user from Shared Contacts
This pertains to companies who would like to be FERPA compliant.

Bulk Add - Allow Adding of >1,000 Users at Once
The Bulk Add tool currently can only handle adding about 1,000 users at once, which isn't scalable when our enterprise has tens or hundreds of thousands of users.

Dashboards - Enhanced (and Exportable) Dashboards in Admin Console
This request is for enhanced dashboards inside the Admin Console, specifically:
1. Exportable dashboards
2. Customizable - add options to choose custom date ranges, etc.
3. Allow for a 'double click' into the charts to see far more information - for example, don't just show me the top 5 users by storage total (like we do now) -- also allow me to 'double click' on that chart to see my top 100 or 500 even.1 voteWe intend to improve the Insights dashboard to provide more interactivity and customization. We will be working on the prerequisites to enable those improvements this year and will revisit these suggestions once they have been completed.

Bulk Edit - Add 'Status' column to Bulk Edit spreadsheet
There is no way in the Admin Console to update 'status' (active, inactive, etc.) for 2 or more users at once (aka in bulk).

This suggestion is not under consideration for the current or future roadmap. We are currently focusing on making it easier to to view, edit, and delete users in the Users & Groups tab.

Change Unique Identifier to Something other than Email Address
This is the grouping for the common request for Box to use a unique identifier other than email address for managed users.
Key pain point with the fact that Box uses email address as the unique identifier: Email addresses change often in large companies, thus requiring these companies to use custom API scripting to keep emails in Box updated based on changes in AD.
This unique identifier (whether a mapped value from the customer's user store, aka AD, or the Box unique user ID) should also be the identifier used when users authenticate to Box using SSO (via SAML).
20 votesThis feature request isn’t currently planned on the roadmap, but we are considering the notion of user attributes that can be placed on a user and then used for better context while sharing / collaborating and searching in the Admin Console.
Please provide more use cases in the comments to help us understand the problem better.

Password reset email notifications to admins: Add possibility for admin to auto-reply to the affected user
When Enterprise Setting: Notify Admins when users request a password reset email is checked, any other admin will to receive a notification whenever one of their Managed users request a new password.
It would help being able to reply to the managed user from this notification in order to provide better interactivity between admin/user and control/security over the request.

This suggestion is not under consideration for the current or future roadmap. However, we’d like more clarity and details from the requester about this suggestion to better understand the problem and where exactly in the Admin Console this sorting is needed.

Add Sort by 'Status' Option to Managed Users Page
Add the ability to sort by user status (active, inactive, cannot edit & delete, cannot upload edit & delete) to the Managed User page in the Admin Console.
11 votesWe are re-designing the managed users page and will focus on adding advanced filtering of managed users by status as a follow up. Right now, releasing the re-design will be our first priority, so filtering by status is not on the near-term
(6 month) roadmap. We will revisit this after we release the new page. -
Personal Folder Auto-Creation
Similar to the Okta feature (https://support.okta.com/help/articles/Knowledge_Article/36802318-Configuring-Box-to-Create-a-Personal-Shared-Folder), this request is for a native option in Box to automatically provision a 'personal folder' for each user upon provisioning (whether provisioned manually, via Bulk Add, or via auto-provisioning).
Key Requests for this feature:
--Ability to customize the name of the folder that's created (such as choosing the user's name + 'Personal Folder' or other custom strings of text)
--The user's personal folder will be created in their own account and they'll be the owner of it, with no other users in it (even if restrict content creation is turned on)12 votes -
Auto-Created 'All Users' Group
Add the option to the Groups tab to have a 'smart' group that auto-adds all Managed Users - this is a commonly used practice to provide all users with a 'getting started' folder, but currently must be either managed manually or sent to Box via SAML (meaning the customer must keep the group updated in AD).

Custom Terms of Service: Time-based (annual re-acceptance) and acceptance grace period
ANNUAL RE-ACCEPTANCE: Add ability to set custom time-based re-acceptance criteria. Example: Require Managed Users to accept terms of service upon initial login and annually thereafter.

Bulk Delete (Delete 2 or more users at once)
Add a native Bulk Delete tool on the Users tab of the Admin Console to complement the existing Bulk Add and Bulk Edit tools that we already have.
Key Asks:
1. Use a similar Excel sheet as the Bulk Add/Bulk Edit tool
2. Ability to have a column with the user email to be deleted
3. A column to choose who to automatically transfer the user's content to (the spreadsheet version of the existing Delete & Transfer UI that we have)
4. Columns to choose whether to notify each user (the user being deleted and the user receiving the deleted…40 votesWe are not planning releasing bulk delete functionality at this time since we are focusing our efforts on building faster and more usable users pages. Merge Users - Ability to Merge 2 or More Accounts Into 1
A 'merge users' feature would help with the initial administrative burden of cleaning up existing accounts.
Key asks:
--The ability to choose 2 or more Managed Users in Box to merge
--The ability to choose which email becomes the primary email for the user (thus which account will become the owner of the other account's owned content)
--The ability to choose whether demoted emails should be retained as email aliases or simply removed from the user's (updated) profile
--The ability to choose whether existing collaborations on externally-owned folders are retained (meaning account 2 is invited into an external folder, when…24 votesWe are currently re-designing our managed users page for performance and usability updates which will be released at the end of this year. This proposed enhancement to email notifications and to custom branding is a reasonable idea, but an area that we are unlikely to invest in this year.

Export Groups - Add an 'Export Groups' Button to Groups Summary Page & Individual Group Page
There is currently no way for admins to export a report (xlsx) of their Groups - whether at the summary Groups level or at the individual Group level
This is problematic for companies that have pages and pages of Groups in the Admin Console, or want to manage just one group (as the current Export Users report from the Users page - the only place any Group info IS currently exported - exports ALL users in an EID, which is overload).

This suggestion is not under consideration for the future roadmap. We are currently focused on improving our user interface and key flows of user management before we add features around bulk group management.
