  3. Add "Box Web App" as the service name associated with webapp upload events

Currently, User Activity reports (and Enterprise Events) for uploads triggered via the web app do not explicitly mention that the uploads were completed via the web app. Other actions, such as previews and downloads, include "Box Web App" as the service name within the event details.

  12. Inactive folder owners content not available to other collaborators in the folder

Currently, if a folder owner is made inactive, the collaborators in the folder can't access the content. If you allowed users to copy content to a new folder, it would cause issues if retention polices are in place as users can't currently set policies for folders.

Additionally, if they copy the content to a folder with a greater retention period the extended timeline will then be applied to the content.

If a folder owner is made inactive and the folder has a retention policy applied to it can this folder automatically be transferred a nominated person with Governance admin rights…

  14. Add Item Owner to content-related events

Currently the API events do not contain the item owner for content-related activities (download, preview, etc.). Finding the owner of an item associated with an event requires subsequent API calls to inspect the object (file/folder).

We will be sending many external collaboration invitations to users and would like to format their custom terms of service (Bold, Underline, bullets, spacing).

  16. Non Compliant Device signing onto Device Trust seeing Domain

We have enabled Device Trust for our organization, but we noticed that when a non-compliant device attempts to use Box Sync with their Children's account, it sends a response listing the domain in which the device must be registered to.

"Device must be a member of one of the following domains: kidsnet.childrenshc.org"

We would prefer if the domain name is not sent out to the web and instead the message "Device is not a member of the allowed Domain(s)" as a security concern.

  17. Sharing Policy - Allow Pasting of Multiple Domains

The UX for admins to enter in domains on the Policies -> Sharing policy is pretty bad.

Box does not currently allow admins to paste in a list of multiple (even 2) domains at the same time, whether they're separate by spaces, semicolons, etc.

If we have a list of 40 domains to enter, the admin types them in one by one.

Request: allow for copy/pasting of multiple domains at once, just like we allow for in the 'invite collaborators' pop-up in the webapp.

  18. Respect the EID's Shared Link Default when Using 'Upload & Attach' in Outlook to Save to 'All Files'

When using Box for Office inside of Outlook, specifically using the 'Upload and Attach' button when composing a new email, users are able to choose a Shared Link access level (such as 'people with the link') even if that access level is disabled in their EID. Once the user clicks upload, they receive an error because the shared link was not able to be generated due to that restriction. This behavior specifically occurs when the user is choosing to save to their 'All Files' page when using the Upload & Attach feature.

If the user chooses a specific folder (a…

We are focused more on the Office native integration.

  20. Global setting to control "Items per page on All Files" for managed users

Want ability to update default items on All Files page to 100 for all managed users, and not make users do this individually.

This is not a setting we are likely to build. We hope the relatively new Files app enables users to more easily find this setting in their end user experience to change it themselves.
