  1. Remove Preview from Embed Widget

    Users would just be able to initiate a download of the file when clicking a file.

  2. Embed Widget: Add 'Play' Button UI for Embedded Videos (a la YouTube)

    Currently when videos are embedded using the native single file Box Embed widget, the UI that's presented before a user clicks on the widget itself is missing a large 'play' button (like you'd find on YouTube, for example) to indicate that the image is more than just that - an image.

    Unless you hover over the embed widget itself, the user has no visual indication that the image is actually a video that they need to click on to play.

    REQUEST: Make the Box Embed UI for videos more similar to YouTube or Vimeo.

    Thanks for the suggestion! This is an awesome idea, but due to competing priorities, this is feature request not currently on our immediate roadmap.

    This is not currently planned for development. We will let you know if anything changes.

  4. Device Trust separate desktop and 3rd party apps

    We're trying to limit Box to managed devices. We enable DT on webapp, deploy Box for EMM, but when we try to open/edit a file in iOS Office, DT considers it a 3rd party app and blocks it.

    Decoupling the two would leave the desired state of blocking webapp on unmanaged devices, controlling mobile through EMM, but also allowing editing in apps as desired on that managed device.

  9. Report on Sync Incidents or Errors

    A lot of the time, Sync errors are because of users. If you classify and identify these errors for our admin, it can help them use Sync better or identify a way to leverage Web App/Box Drive

  10. Mass enable notifications under Account Settings --> Sharing - General Email and Notification

    We want to encourage people to rely on messages in Box as well as via email if more appropriate. Currently, the default is that the email notifications are turned off. We would like to be able to choose to default ON with individuals deselecting if they prefer.

  11. Allow admins to select multiple folders within Content Manager and bulk change permissions/ownership

    Our admins have had a large influx of personal accounts migrated to their managed service. In some cases people set up shared accounts that do not have a corresponding individual attached. They are trying to scoop up those folders and put them all into a subfolder that can be shared by the group.

  12. Archive a User's Data and Admin Deletes Managed User.

    We liked the (now changed) feature of Delete & Transfer to an inactive account. Since the recipient (the new owner) was inactive, no one could collaborate on files that they owned. This was our "archiving" system. Any way to fix this? Workarounds for now = admin makes recipient temporarily active for transfer, then makes them inactive after.

  20. Expose file breadcrumbs when viewing Recents or Favorites page

    Users love Recents and Favorites, but want to easily get to the folder they are in (or see what folder they are from etc.)
