https://www.w3.org/WAI/WCAG20/quickref/
FEDERAL accessibility requirements for videos on Box
This is going to be federal law. We need Box to comply with this regulation so our content says compliant.

Create Adobe Premiere Pro Integration
Will Box will work as a video editing platform? I would love to store video files on the Cloud, project files, audio files, etc., and then use my iMac's Adobe software Premiere Pro, Audition, After Effects, etc. to edit content.

Adobe Acrobat: Prevent users from saving PDF to non-Box cloud storage
At present, a user could open a PDF in Box from Acrobat and save to another service (which could be a personal account)

We do not allow users to reinstate retention periods since it would create a lot of confusion around what happened between the times the policy was active.

Using groups will allow adding more collaborators to a folder and is our recommended approach for these types of situations.
-
Different Support contact information for sub set of user population
We would like certain user accounts to see a different support number than all of the others users.
0 votesWe have not heard many requests regarding this feature. We will reconsider with additional demand.
-
Create Setting to be able to 'Hide' user from Shared Contacts
This pertains to companies who would like to be FERPA compliant.
0 votesWe have not heard much about this use case. For now, it is not prioritized. We will reconsider with additional updates.

Thank you for your suggestion. This is a resource-intensive feature which is not prioritized for our current roadmap.

Select groups in the Email Shared Link when creating a Shared Link
The alternative is entering every email in which is time consuming.
0 votesThis would require an integration into the mail clients for Box groups. This is not planned for the foreseeable future.
-
Ability to block or hide certain Groups from all other users when selecting names or groups to share content
For example, Group A is Executives only so Admin wouldn't want another non-exec user to see that Group name when selecting collaborators.
Not a high priority issue, but one use case is for HIPPA bound groups.

Request to expose "ip_address" parameter through User Events endpoint as with Admin Events
ip_address parameter is exposed for events reported by the admin events endpoint. Please expose the same info for user events.
0 votesThis type of information should ideally be getting pulled from the enterprise events API. The User Events API is analogous to the updates feed in the Web App.
More detailed logging about how users are accessing content (e.g. IP address or service) is meant to be pulled from the Enterprise Events API as that’s a centralized location across the enterprise for auditing.

Drag and drop to a linked folder
If the link that's saved in a folder is another Box folder, be able to drag and drop a file onto that link and have it moved to the linked folder.
0 votesThis sounds a bit tricky from an engineering perspective. We will reconsider this with additional customer demand.
-
Option for bookmarks to open in same tab
It distracts to have bookmarks open in a new tab and takes away from the main information. I would prefer for it to open in the same tab.
0 votesWe appreciate this request. However, it will not provide a wide benefit for most of our users, so it will not make our roadmap. We will reconsider with additional demand.

Ability to see notifications for Deleted comments in the Notifications tab
We would like to be able to know which comments have been deleted by users in the Notifications tab. Currently, Notifications appear only when comments are added.
0 votesThis request addresses a relatively narrow use case, so we will not be prioritizing it. Most often, users delete comments since they do not want others to view them.
What use cases would this feature serve?

This is very difficult from a technical and scale perspective, so we are not likely to fulfill this.
Keep sending your suggestions and use cases, though!

Track Legal Hold events and notify certain users when these events occur
A Legal Hold report would help with this too. In looking at legal holds there's reporting for each hold but not a comprehensive report listing all hold activity
0 votesThis is unlikely to be something we build. Admins could accomplish this through the events stream or a tool like Splunk.
-
Custom Message When Deleting Users
We would like to have a custom message that is sent every time we delete a user from our enterprise account.
0 votesThis is unlikely to be prioritized given other commitments.
What types of messages would you like to send? Are deleted accounts only for those who have left the company? Would they also receive the message? Is there generic information that Box can do a better job of sharing with users?

Thank you for this suggestion! This is unlikely an integration Box will build.
Fujitsu can call our APIs and build this into their app.

Hiding list/view of Collaborators without removing ability for users to add new collaborators.
This is more of a cosmetic request to hide all collaborators (view of owners and co-owners is fine) but still provide ability for collaborators to invite new ones.
0 votesThis is the first request we have heard for something like this and the use case isn’t totally clear to us.
It seems to be pretty narrow with low impact so we will not prioritize it on our roadmap, but we will keep an eye out to see if this begins trending.

This is not something we plan to expose to Admins. We will continue to optimize search for end-users without the intervention from the admin team.
