    For Admins, Content Manager is essentially a visualization of the folder tree.

  3. More granular setting options for users set to "Inactive" in the Admin Console

    We would like two sub options for accounts set to "Inactive" status in the Edit User Profile details (in addition to the existing Inactive setting behavior):

    Inactive sub-option 1: Enable a warning for all existing shares and collaborations that the Inactive user owns. If another user is accessing a folder owned by the Inactive user, they should be informed that the content could be deleted with the deletion of the account, and that a copy should be taken quickly.

    Inactive sub-option 2: Enable a warning AND make content read-only for all existing shares and collaborations that the Inactive user owns.…

    This is a good use case, but other user statuses might partially solve some of these needs. Let us know in the comments if it does not.

  5. Ability to edit a file if it is in the Trash

    Once a file is in the trash, the only way to remove tags, metadata, is by restoring the file, making the changes, and sending it back to Trash.

  6. Quarantined Files - View Folder Path

    Currently an admin looking at the Quarantine section of Content Manager is not shown any information about where the file was attempted to be uploaded, which is also where the file will exist if the admin clicks 'restore' (approves) the file.

    REQUEST: Provide location information for quarantined files such as the folder path, owner, uploader, etc. This information is already in the policy violation email that's sent to admins, so it should also be available in Content Manager.

    We are not currently making any vast improvements on quarantine in the short term. This is still helpful. We will reconsider it when working on this feature area.

  7. Push Notifications for @Mentions

    Box push notifications on iOS are very limited currently and only send the user a push notification when...

    1. There's a comment added to a file and they're the most recent uploader
    2. They've been added to a folder

    The most logical other push notification to add would be for @mentions which, in theory, would increase overall adoption of comments as well.

  8. Allow Use of Office Online Integration without O365 Licenses

    The Office Online integration currently requires all non-Personal/Free Box users to have an Office 365 license in order to use the integration. This request is to allow ALL Box users (not just Personal/Free) to use the Office Online integration regardless of whether the user/company has Office 365 licenses or not.

  10. Ability to Obsolete Folders & Notify Owner

    Add an option under the folder settings ([?] button), under Sharing, add an item for Obsolete Folder which upon selecting would go to a simple page stating that clicking Ok will notify the Folder Owner(s) that you believe this folder is obsolete and should be deleted.

    Additionally, when selecting Remove, to Remove as Collaborator, that page can also have an option to notify the Owner(s) that the folder looks to be obsolete and is suggested to be deleted.

    This addresses a narrow use case without adding value to a significant amount of our users.

    There is also a current way to achieve this by emailing the owner to ask them to delete the folder.

    There are multiple asks captured here.
    We now provide admins self serve options to rotate their certs. We will further improve SSO setup options over the coming quarters. Besides these 2, we don’t have other enhancements planned in this area.

    This suggestion is not under consideration for the future roadmap. We are currently focused on improving our user interface and key flows of user management before we add features around bulk group management.

    Thanks for the feedback! We have added this to our backlog. Due to low customer demand for these file types, they are currently not prioritized on the roadmap.

  15. 'Choose A Destination Folder' UI: Add Search & Sorting Capabilities

    Users find it annoying that they can't use the standard search/sort functions from the Box app when they're in the 'Choose a Destination Folder' modal.

  16. Enhance the 'Storage Aggregate' Chart in Admin Console - Allow Exporting & Adjustments

    The 'Storage Aggregate' chart on the homepage of the Admin Console is currently the only way for an admin to see/view the total storage used on a daily basis within their EID

    As such, we should enhance this chart in the following ways:
    1. Allow this chart to be expanded/made bigger
    2. Allow customization of the time period - 'show me total daily storage over the past 2 weeks, or month, etc.'
    3. All exporting of the total daily values into a simple CSV/Excel report
