  1. Retention Policies as Deletion Policies

    Files in a folder (or globally) would be purged after a certain period of time, but if a user wants to remove the content before that time, they would be able to do so.

  6. Adapt Annotations to achieve Accessibility guidelines

    Box View does not conformance with W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.0 (WCAG 2.0) at conformance levels A and AA - specifically, annotations can only be viewed around mouseover. This is a blocker for us as we work with public universities who have to meet those guidelines.

  7. Sync from parent of View Path Collab

  8. Ability to run custom in-app messaging banners from the Admin Console

    Admins would like to create custom in-app messaging banners to display to their users when they are logged into Box.

    In-App Messaging banners could be used to promote training, drive awareness and adoption, inform users of new features or internal policies, etc.

    This limit is in place to prevent scale related issues. We are not planning to change this in the immediate future.

    This is not planned.

    We don’t see enough customer demand for this yet, and supporting every additional content type takes a significant amount of engineering time and effort.

  11. Add print functionality under "more options" tab on file level list instead of having to go to preview or open the file

    Currently it is only possible to print a document from the preview window or by opening the document.

    Request: consistency of experience and adding an option on the file list level (under More Options)

  12. Keyboard Shortcuts - Allow Shift+S to Open Shared Link Modal for Current Folder

    REQUEST: Hitting Shift+S should open the Shared Link pop-up for the current folder when no items are selected.

    Currently there is no way (via keyboard) to open the Shared Link pop-up for the folder one is currently in.

    Interesting feature request! However, we’re not able to prioritize it at this time due to competing priorities.

  13. Have the Box Embed Widget support responsive scaling of videos.

    YouTube embeds do this automatically, so we just wrap those in a responsive div tag and they scale with screen width, but I can't get a Box embed to do the same with our CSS.

  14. Upload Policy Type for folder locations

    'Upload' Policy Type does not provide the option to apply at a folder level. It would be ideal if all policy types had the option to apply it to specific folders.

  15. Add ability to trigger email confirmation when adding an email alias from blacklisted domain

    Example: gmail.com is a blacklisted domain. If an admin tries to add a gmail.com alias for a managed user via the API, the call will fail with a 400 response.
