Grid View For Shared Links
For people accessing a shared link on Box, without having been invited to collaborate, there ought to be an option to view files/folders/etc in "Grid View". This is available on mobile devices and when you are a collaborator -- but if you're accessing a shared link from a computer, this option is not available.
I needed to share a folder containing several thousand photos with an email chain I was a part of. I wanted the recipients to only be able to "view and download" so sharing with a link was more appropriate than inviting them all to collaborate on the folder. However, the fact that those folks were only able to really look at a single photo at a time proved very difficult.
If the grid view feature that's available on mobile could also be added to the regular Box site, that would be great!

When opening and zooming in on an Excel document saved in the Box app, the document closes frequently, making it difficult to use.
I am using the Box app through my iPhone.
There is one problem... It's serious for me personally (to the point where I gave up on the box app...)
Open the Box app on your iPhone and open the Excel file saved inside.
First, move your finger up, down, left, and right to view the material.
However, since the screen is too small, I zoom in to view the document.
To zoom in on a document, use two fingers or the fingers of both hands to zoom in or out.
This is where the problem arises. When you zoom in or move the screen, the opened Excel document closes as soon as you try to move it even a little.
I thought about the reason, and it's because of the function that closes the running app when you pull down the document with your finger when closing the running app.
This problem did not occur in the past with the iPhone 16 Plus, but
This is a problem that occurs when using the Box app after replacing the iPhone 15 Pro.As a workaround, in the past, you could open an Excel document and immediately enlarge the document with two fingers or the fingers of both hands.
Currently, it seems that in order to enlarge, you must touch the desired location in the document once with your finger. (This feature, which did not exist before, is actually very inconvenient)In other words, you need to restore the function from using the zoom function after touching the screen to being able to use the zoom function right away without touching the screen.
Second, when closing an Excel document, you must change the document to close when you click the X in the upper left corner.
In other words, when using the scroll function to move the document down, the function must be modified so that the document does not close. To be honest, I often use Excel documents to search for content.
If you use your finger incorrectly, the document closes immediately, which makes using the app quite burdensome (the document closes right away).
I even thought about giving up on the Box app due to the problem of not being able to use the Excel document search function.Developers, have you never opened an Excel document through the Box app?
Give it a try and it will become clear what the inconveniences and problems are.
Please let me know if there is a method, plan, or development plan to solve this problem. Thank you and good luck...I am using the Box app through my iPhone.

Fix the error that appears when you try to create an account password after a shared folder requires a 'stronger' one. It is a loophole
When a shared folder requires a stronger password, consider a scenario where a user doesn't have any password set up. There is no 'old' password to put in. Attempts to create a password for the account end in 'There was a problem changing your password' message. So basically there is no way to access the protected shared files.

preview for .skp (SketchUp)
SketchUp is widely used 3D modeling application. It would be very good if SketchUp files (.skp) be previewed in Box so that various 3D model can be viewed, especially with iPad.

Box Relay Signing Event Log and Completed Document filed seperately
Right now, you can create a Box Relay workflow to move/copy Just the Completed Signed document OR both the document and the log. It would be great to be able to also choose to manage the log seperatly too, so you could set up a Log folder to file them in a seperate location if you'd like, from the completed document.

be group foreign key "external_sync_identifier" as a unique constraint entry.
We are developing a tool to extract group data from IDM such as AD and Azure and project it to Box via API.
We want to use the group ID in IDM as a group foreign key in Box so that when the group name changes on the IDM side, we can track the group in Box that is associated with it.
For this purpose, we use the group attribute item "externalsyncidentifier".
However, since this item is not a unique constraint, there is always a risk of an error due to key duplication.

Setting to be notified when a specific file, folder, or note is modified.
We have a team that needs to be notified when a Note is modified. They are using comments to achieve this. It would be a great setting option to receive notifications on modifications to a specific file, folder or note.
Please let me know if there is a solution for this that I am not aware of.5 votes -
Bookmark URL
It would be nice if “Bookmark” type files were compatible with Windows URL files. Indeed, I have Box Drive installed on my PC and I cannot open URL files from my PC because the extension is not compatible.
Sincerely,
Evann
Bonjour,
Il serait bien que les fichiers de type "Signet" soit compatible avec les fichers URL de windows. En effet, j'ai Box Drive installé sur mon PC et je ne peut ouvrir les fichiers URL depuis mon pc car l'extension n'est pas compatible.
Cordialement,
Ewann

Rows of logs of Sign show different level of file paths
Log of Sign Operations
The logs of Sign operations show either full paths or the lowest path only, for the same file.
If Box Sign were to export paths with the same level i.e. everything is in full paths, it'd be much easier to handle logs.
Evidence of their claim:

Nested notes list
Currently, the left-hand menu in Box Notes only displays a linear list of recent and historical notes.
Introducing a "Nested Notes List" feature would be particularly beneficial for project management. Projects often involve multiple layers of tasks, sub-tasks, and associated documentation. A nested list structure would streamline navigation and organization, enabling teams to locate specific information more efficiently.
If there are no plans to develop this feature, recommendations for third-party tools capable of providing this functionality would be appreciated.

Add ability to include a Name for external Box Sign recipients
Would like ability to add a name for external parties when adding recipients to a sign request.
Currently for external sign recipients, we can only include their e-mail address. As a result, the name of the signer is not included the signing log file. With only an email address it can be difficult to identify the person that actually signed.
Note: Understand that the adding the Name field to a sign request will populate it on the signing log but looking to input this at the send stage.

Revert to former UX for selecting files/folders (no more check boxes)
In order to select multiple files or folders in the Box Web App you now have to use the checkboxes which are only visible when you hover over the file/folder all the way to the right.
Previously, you could select multiple files and folders by clicking on the file or folder icon on the far left, and didn’t have to bother with checkboxes. The suggestion is to revert to the former UX for selecting files/folders

In banking we want to prevent any user error and they should only send requests through officially created templates

Store Digital Agreements Securely and Compliantly with Electronic Vaulting
Store Digital Agreements Securely and Compliantly with Electronic Vaulting.
Following a digital e-signature, validate the signer (if necessary), and instantly deposit into an electronic vault (encrypted secure environment where signature is locked), giving a way to audit and manage the file and signature securely throughout its lifetime, preserving the e-original.
