Shared Link creation doesn't automatically add user to folder when adding file in Box for Office in Outlook
When adding a file to an email in Outlook and using the Box for Office integration to upload it to Box and create a shared link, you have the option to make the link visible to Invited Users Only. However, when doing this, it does not add all users as collaborators to the file so they can access the shared link. Ideally, the integration should add the users CC'd in the email ass collaborators if they are not collabed already so that they can access the Invited People only link

Box for iOS Annotations
The pen and and marker options when using the Annotations feature within Box for iOS is limited as the lines are often too thick and obscure information on the documents used by our customers.
The suggestion here is to add a line thickness slider for both the marker and pen options so that users can experience the same pencil thin annotated lines in the Box for iOS Mobile Application as they do when annotating via Box.com

Lock content areas
Add the ability for the board owner to lock some content so that people cannot move it by accident. It helps when collaborating on a board with multiple users.

External user verification via TOTP for shared links
Please consider adding a TOTP verification option for shared links. You could allow a link to be shared to an email address but require TOTP verification via that same email address. This would help verify that only someone with access to the email address we shared with can access the content without forcing them to signup for a free Box account.

Support for passing of special characters (as-is) in query (Box Metadata Query API)
Per the suggestions ...
Use of an "=" could be utilized
Unfortunately, this would break the ability for our search bar to also do loose matches around the "typed search term"
(e.g. "Broadway &" query will not return "Broadway & Commercial"Use of "%" wildcard to replace noted special character
Unfortunately, the results will then be too varied. Any characters will be up for substitution.
(e.g. "C&R" query will then also return "car", "candor", corridor", etc.)*** Could we confirm if there is an appropriate way for special characters to be passed and recognized as-is?

API Calls to Get Folder ID from File Request URL
Currently the only way to get the Folder ID that's associated for a File Request URL that exists is to know the Folder ID or the File Request ID that you're looking for before you do. Its easy if the user says this is the folder, but if they only have the link you're forced to run User Activity reports to attempt to locate what was created, even harder if you don't know the original user who created the file request and they don't know the folder.
It would be extremely beneficial to be able to make an API call…

"search filter" "folder location" unselecting parent still requires to unselect all subfolders
Asume, when running a search and selecting File Type "Folders" and an "owner", the search results delivers thousands of folders.
Now I want to use the filter option to exclude a parent folder which I know has several hundred subfolders, but unselecting the parent folder does require me to sunselect all the subfolders inside of the parent folder one by one...
This is not practical and unselecting a parent folder should also exclude all subfolders from that parent.
Actually I had never seen it the way it is implemented in Box...4 votes -
Restrict more special characters used in naming all uploads
to have an account or folder level setting/configuration that will allow account admins to enforce MS windows file/folder naming restrictions for all uploads (This includes restriction that following characters aren't allowed: " \ / : | < > * ?. )
We have a production issue where a partner is dropping folders in Box that do not meet Windows naming convention (they're using *) and that is causing a failure with download from Box.

Displaying tags in grid view
Tags are displayed in list view.
It would be nice if it was also displayed in grid view.This is because we often use a grid view of photos.

Changed conditions for sending invitation deadline notification emails for external users
Currently, invitation deadline notification emails are sent to external users under the following conditions
- co-owner of the folder
- the user has been personally invited to the folder
- direct collaborators of the folder.
Please change the specification so that notification emails can be received even if the user is invited as a group rather than as an individual under condition 2.

Visual indicator when Box Canvas user is just a viewer, not editor
When using Canvas as a viewer, the user may try to vote on the sticky notes, or try to locate the toolbar, and think that something is broken, when in reality they are looking for features available to editors only.
We should consider adding some visual indicator of the "view only" status e.g. a banner or a badge at the top, an icon over which a user can hover over to get more info, or an icon by the cursor arrow to indicate editing is disabled.

Stand up on bandwidth and API usage.
Hi I am a user on the Enterprise plan, but the limitations on upload/download and API calls for the Enterprise plan are really not enough.
Can the monthly file upload and download or bandwidth usage limit be changed to 10TB?
As for API calls per month, can the monthly API call limit be changed to 2,000,000?
I think this replacement rule proposal is a good fit for both parties.

Contact information options for outage notification
During the recent outage, a notification was provided with the email address of our primary admin, which is a service account. This should instead default to our support contact information, as defined under Custom Setup. We currently have no option to change this behaviour.

Make initial sorting of folders into Collections easier
I have a lot of Box folders shared with me that I cannot organize into broader folders. To help with the initial process of using Collections to organize all of these folders, it would be great if there was a way to view all folders while on the Collections page and they could disappear as you “collect” them so you easily know when you’ve put them all in their various Collections (similar to filing things on File Explorer).

Heading 1/2/3 Keyboard Commands for Box Notes for Feature Parity in Google Docs
As a new boxer, I have found it odd to not have certain keyboard commands in Box Notes that I am accustomed to in other similar apps (specifically Google Docs). The one that I would prioritize would be to quickly change heading styles. In Google Docs it is (on a Mac) Command+Option+1/2/3/(0 for "Body") while text is highlighted or at the beginning of a new line.
Hopefully this can be quickly implemented as it would be a welcome addition to heavy users of Box Notes.

Pre-Selecting item on new list view & grid view
Previousely list view was shown information in the right pane by ジュst only selecting an item with the cursor like a Stepping stone.
You can't do that with the new UI.
Check >shown > Uncheck >move next item> Check next >shown>Uncheck....and more...
it's not speedy action.
We know that pre-selected items by cusor↓↑key, move to checkbox using tab key then enter key, then check each item.But need keyboard shortcuts easier.
Like a round robbin.

Request improvement so that users who do not have output permission do not display the download button for Content Insight activities
For users who cannot create a folder in the root folder in a closed environment, pressing the "Download" button on the Content Insights activity will result in the error message "Sorry, the report could not be generated. Please try again." .
If the download button is displayed, users who do not have the output authority will mistakenly think that they can download the report, and error messages will appear and the number of inquiries to the administrator will increase.

Adding custom shapes to Canvas
I would like to be able to add shapes to Canvas, for example the AWS shape library to mirror the behaviour of another white boarding tool we're currently using.
This would allow us to collaborate on complex architecture diagrams using very specific shapes/icons.
Some ways this could be introduced:
-shapes available to all Canvas users
- or the ability to add templates pre-populated with custom shapes
-or the ability to upload custom shapes for the entire instance7 votes -
I would like to see a lock feature implemented so that tenants with the "Box for Microsoft Office" feature enabled can occupy and edit files
Tenants with the "Box for Microsoft Office" feature enabled will not be able to update locked files.
As an alternative, the following procedure may be applicable, but has the following disadvantages■procedure
①Lock the target file
②Download the file and update it locally
③Upload updated files
④Unlock■demerit
Many steps and cumbersome
If another user downloads > edits > uploads a file that is locked, the file will be updated.Therefore, I would like to see a lock function implemented so that files can be occupied and edited like Box tools.
