Change File Request to accept emails that begin with a number
File request currently flags an email that begins with a number as an invalid email and won't let the user continue with that email. Please update to accept emails that begin with a number.

Sort order when User Activity reports filter is selected.
The content is sorted by content ID, but since it cannot be sorted, visibility is poor, so we want to sort by name, etc.

Add file path to macOS Box Drive search function
Since macOS Finder will not search Box Drive by filename correctly, the only real way to search for files is using Box Drives built-in search function. This will successfully find a file, but it does not show you the path in the folder tree. Could you please add the containing folder and path in the search results box? Ideally the user would also be able to open a finder window directly to that containing folder directly from a click in the search results box.

(Box Alternate domain) link from Box Drive
Looking forward an option to setup Box Drive to generate shared links with the (Box Alternate domain) URL by default.
We heavily work with factories in China and for them to access shared files, we need to modify URL from "box.com" to (Box Alternate domain) manually everytime when we generate links from Box Drive.
Note: we know we can generate (Box Alternate domain) links from web platform when we login via (Box Alternate domain). We are specifically looking for a feature to setup Box Drive links to be (Box Alternate domain)2 votes -
I would like to change the thumbnail/preview image for videos to a specific keyframe. You can do this in most video hosting platforms.
I would like to set custom thumbnails/preview images for videos. We should be able to set it as a specific keyframe or even a custom image. You can already do this on Youtube, Vimeo etc.

When I log in box application it opens with recent files which I do not want how to hide recent files when opening box application

Make available an email address that consists of only numbers
In our file request settings, the "Email address" is set as mandatory.
Users whose email address consists of only numbers will be marked "Invalid email address" and will not be able to upload.
In the current specification, users of companies that use email addresses consisting of only numbers cannot upload.Make sure that an email address consisting of only numbers is recognized as a valid email address.

メールアドレスが数字のみで構成されているユーザーは「無効なメールアドレス」と表示され、アップロードできません。
現在の仕様では、数字のみで構成されたメールアドレスを利用している企業のユーザーはアップロードが行えません。数字のみで構成されたメールアドレスが有効なメールアドレスとして認識されるようにしてください。

File sharing to other apps
There should be option in box to export or share a file to other apps instead sharing link. It only provides link option to send file.

Please add a button to switch between 'available', 'Add by Default' and 'Never show' for "the items displayed in this Box web app".
In the near future (2021 7/15 JST) there will be an update to the user app settings in the Box web app.
Once this update is in place, applications that are 'available' in the app settings of the management console will appear in the Box preview screen.While we are very happy about this, we do not want to confuse end users with this update.
We would like to see only the applications that are set to "Add by Default" on the screen as now, and not the applications that are "Available".

Task lifecycle should reside with the document, not the creator of the task
When a user assigns a task on a document, and then leaves the enterprise, the task is deleted from the document when the user is deleted.
The task is actually a part of the document's lifecycle, not the lifecycle of the user. If the content is owned by the enterprise, the termination of the user should not cause the task to be deleted.
Our use case is this:
Internal auditor gathers content and places it in Box
Internal auditor assigns a task to the Finance Director and CFO to review the content
Finance Director and CFO approve the task.
Internal auditor then leaves the company
Internal auditor's account is deleted so enterprise does not incur cost associated with an account that no longer exists.
When external auditors come in to check that content has been reviewed and signed off against, the tasks were deleted from the documents.
Organization gets penalized for not reviewing content.Preferred workflow:
Internal auditor leaves the company
Internal auditor's account is deleted
External auditor comes in to ensure content has been reviewed and signed off against
Content has the approval task still in it (although the "previous user" tag is listed as the originator of the task)Again - tasks live with the DOCUMENT not with the USER.

I want Capture to upload photos in landscape direction & be able to edit before upload
Would like to be able to edit a photo on capture before it uploads, for example, crop, flip direction, & add text. Similar to what you can do on Microsoft teams when you send a photo thru chat.
We should also be able to take a photo in landscape mode and have it upload in that direction. Right now if I upload a landscape photo I have to open it on Box and flip it. It's very time consuming.1 vote -
Enable e-mails to save to Box folders
I need to save an e-mail to my my files that have been recently migrated to BOX but I can't because BOX is NOT an option to save something into. How do I save e-mails to BOX folders when BOX folders are not an option to save something into?

Editing existing tag names
It would be helpful to edit an existing tag name, to make it more descriptive, and have that propagate to everything already tagged. For example, I would like to change a first-round tag of "Minutes" to something more descriptive, such as "Minutes Admin Meetings." Right now, I can simply create a new tag and retag all the appropriate items with the prior. HOWEVER, every time that begin to type the name of the new tag, the old not-used one will keep appearing.
If editing an existing name is too complicated, is there a way to delete an old unused tag altogether?

Browser to open into the Finder window
I love the way in the Finder window you can click to view on the Box.com browser...it would be great if there was a way vice versa on the Box.com browser to open into the Finder window!

Directly to presentation mode for PowerPoint files when clicking on URLS to box
Box should be able to create a URL that will allow the users to display the power point in presentation mode without extra clicks.
another request is when the user clicks on this link, they cannot click back and look at other files within the same folder.

Allow bulk actions to be interrupted (such as copy/move/restore/delete)
When users copy / move / restore / delete a large number of items, we want them to be able to cancel if they notice a mistake along the way.
Currently, when processing a large number of items in Box, we need to wait until the process is completed even if we notice a mistake.
When processing large numbers of items, processing may require several days.
During that time, folders and files are locked.

Make sync actually work correctly and reliably
Box seems to have abandoned any effort to improve sync. It has the same problems that it had 5? 6? 7? years ago. It takes forever to sync. It consumes huge amounts of CPU. It gets hung up all the time. A former associate who was friends with an employee of Box once (about 5 years ago) complained to the friend about the problems with sync. The employee's response: "use sync less." That appears to be Box's strategy: they don't fix the problems with the program; rather, their advice is use the program less. That's pathetic. Fix your software.

Option to have an approval that’s only visible to a specific group. Signer can see checkbox that comes with “approval” button, but as POps we do not want a signer to see that someone else has approved their document
