Improve the sort order of candidate groups on invite modal
Currently, candidate users/groups that partially match the texts I entered are displayed in the ascending order.
We want a way to get the user/group that perfectly matches the texts I entered displayed at the top.For e.g., let's say we have the 4 groups each titled "Enterprise Sales team", "Commercial Sales team", "Online Sales team", "Sales team".
With current design, when I type "Sales team" in the textbox, candidate groups are returned in the below order (every group that contains "Sales team" is returned in an alphabetic order):
Commercial Sales team
Enterprise Sales team
Online Sales team
Sales teamWe want "Sales team" displayed at the top because that perfectly matches the text I entered. Like below:

completely lock function
We want completely lock function.
When user is editing file, the other user cannot be opened its file.
Therefore, user will decrease that they edit same file by mistake.4 votes -
Enhance flexibility to expiration of Public Link
When a Public Link expires, the link is disable and not traceable. Often time endusers do not know what file/folder it was. Especially, when a receiver of the link was an external user like customer, we would like at least to identify which one it was internally. So I would like an option to automatically update Public Link to Company Link or Collaborator only link upon expiration.

Notification of task / mention on content from folder-view.
Add an icon to a file (similar to the lock icon, or the shared link icon) when the associated user has an active task assigned to them or has been referenced in a comment but has not yet reviewed the document.

"Implement File Locking Feature to Prevent Concurrent Edits"
Customer wants the function that lock file completely.
When user is editing the file, if other users try to open the its file, user cannot open its file.

Ability to Change Current Root Folder for Box.com integration with Salesforce
To make sure our Salesforce sandboxes are kept up to date with our production instances. We refresh our Salesforce Sandbox every quarter. With the manage package installed after we refresh the Salesforce instance. We don't have the ability to change the Current Root Folder to a different folder meant for our Sandbox (We have different folders for different Salesforce Sandboxes) and the refresh sandbox is pointing to production. We have to uninstall the manage package and then reinstall and change it to the right folder. Since we have code that is using this, this can't be easily done. Asking for away to easily change this after a refresh happens.

Set default file view and sort options by folder (and all sub folders for that folder)
Ideally, let an owner or editor of a folder set the default view (list or grid) and sort order of the files.
The system default appears to be by date the file was updated which is rarely (if ever) what our users want.
Re: view options: For photos especially, the list view is rarely the preferred view.
Additionally, with the grid view, allow the size of the image also be set as a default.
This may not be an admin console enhancement. I think it needs to be a under More when you’re looking a a folder.

Link to Individual Pages in a Document
Would like to have the ability to create a link to specific pages in a document. We have use cases where we need to create links to individual slides in a PowerPoint document and insert them into other documents, which OneDrive currently offers.

Mobile: The operation of accessing Box from an Office application and opening a file requires increased security.
Access Box from an Office application and open the file.
Current status,The contents can be copied and pasted regardless of the Enterprise setting.
This will lead to the leakage of the content without the intention of the administrator.They need to control the copying and pasting of content when you access Box from an Office application and open a file.

Locked Files
It would be REALLY great if there were a way in Box to pull up all of the files you have locked. My team shares tons of excel files all day long. If I forget to unlock a file, no one else knows if they can get in. Half the time I'm not in it but forgot to unlock it. If there were a way to pull up all files at any given time in one place that I've locked where I could unlock them from that screen if I'm no longer in them, it would save us a lot of time.

Box Relay Lite email notification
The current behavior of "Box Relay Lite" is that workflow creator gets the approval notification.
The The expectations from us is that a notification email of the approval result will be sent to the approval requester who uploaded the file to the specified folder.

Protect and unprotect excel file in Box
Please add a feature or similar to protect & unprotect an excel file (shared file) in Box so we don't have to download the original file and upload a new version.

Web interface improvements - New Folder creation
Two things:
1) Within the Box Web App, allow for the creation of a New Folder and other features when you "right-click" within the view area. Google Drive already has this.2) After clicking the "New" > "Folder", to create a new folder, a pop-up window appears. Please have the cursor automatically highlight the "Folder Name" field, so that you don't have to click within the text field first to type a name.
These UI improvements will help with the overall experience. Thanks!

Other VDRs allow you to download the index of your folders, like a table of contents or glossary. Please add this feature

UPGRADE PLAN: chat box needed when paying out, in case of questions or problem
chat box needed at upgrade for any inquiries. i was going to upgrade storage from free to starter plan at the special offer of $5 though underneath in italics noted $180 billed annual which does not sum up. Amounts are deterring and confusing. Any help is appreciated.

Display more tags in new UI
I want to see the detail of all my tags. The new user interface shows the detail of the first tag and then "2 others", etc. I job share and we each want to see each tag, especially if we widen that column to do so

I need to be able to tag items easier and have the tags be a different color than the file name
I would like to be able to add tools to the upper tool bar; IE on the last program the "tag" feature was in the quick select tool bar at the top of the page. I use this to mark reviewed quotes once i have reviewed and entered that info into the bid. Having it a couple clicks away slows me down.
Additionally, the tags used to show up as blue, which helped our team quicker see those quotes that had been reviewed VS those that still needed to be seen. Can we make the tags blue again?

Allow more capabilities in the Reports module
It would really be nice if you would allow filtering on more than just a couple reports, and/or the ability for admin to create their own reports.
For instance the Files and Folders report, I may not care to run a report on all files and folders, should be able to filter based on metadata or on just specific folders.

Request about 'People in your company' for shared links
There is a permission called "People in your company" for shared links.
When a link is set to "People in your company", it can be viewed by "People in your company" and "Invited people only".
Some end users think this is confusing.Please change the name of the item to "People in your company and Invited people only".
