We want to see who was added as a Co-Admin and by each specific invite that person received.

Image Shared Link Permissions should Match the Box Note's Shared Link Permission
For example, when a Box Note's shared link is set to 'people with the link', all images in the Box Note should also automatically be updated to be 'people with the link' links.
The current issue is that when I set a Box Note's link to 'people with the link' but my company's shared link default is 'people in your company', all the embedded images in the Box Note are still set to 'people in your company', meaning if a non-authenticated user accesses the 'people with the link' Box Note link, they'll see 'insufficient privileges' for all the images in the Note.

49 votesThank you for the feedback. We understand that the current permissions behavior for Box Notes images is not necessarily intuitive, and are actively looking into ways to improve that user experience. We don’t yet have a timeline for delivery, but will update here when its available.

Generate Report directly from the "View Report" link in "unusual activity" notification email to admin
Please explore changing the Unusual User Activity notification emails to admins to actually spin out the report for a user when the "View Report" link is clicked, instead of prompting admins to run the report manually after clicking "View Report."

Add support for Canon, Nikon, Sony images
Supported by Google Drive.
Canon = .cr2
Nikon = .nef
Sony = .arw6 votesThank you for the submission! This is not planned.
We don’t see enough customer demand for this yet, and supporting every additional content type takes a significant amount of engineering time and effort.
We suggest using the Open With Preview framework which should give third-parties (the company in this case) the ability to integrate a viewer for these file types as part of Preview.

Support for setting the save location to hard drive directory such as "My Documents" instead of "My Documents/Box Sync"
This would help save the trouble of having to re-map all of their computer programs save locations to a new Box Sync folder.

Legal Holds based on Metadata
Allow the ability to put content on Legal Holds based on metadata attached to the document. Customers may utilize metadata moreso than custodian or date to identify content to be placed on Legal Hold
7 votesAs metadata usage is currently quite low, and because this is possible via the API, this is not currently planned for support within the Governance UI. We may reconsider with more customer feedback or higher usage of metadata.

Notification that a file has entered workflow
When a file enters workflow it is moved, a notification (preferably to other users in the folder) that the file has been moved because it has entered a workflow is required.
2 votesThis could be partially solved with Box notifications today. It is not planned in the near term on the roadmap.

"Accept Invite" emails to folders should redirect you to login/account creation
Current scenario:
- Invited a non-Box user to a folder (in regular Chrome Window)
- Non-Box user went to their email and clicked on "Accept Invite" (Went on an - Incognito browser to complete the flow for the Non-Box User account)
- Non-Box User is sent to a "Box Collaborator Sign Up" page so that they can create a new Box account - (looks like this - https://app.box.com/s/5www70u7wuo4x3myb5w5yf91kdwi5c5g)
- After entering info, click "Submit"
- Immediately re-directed to your new Box account
- In your new Box account, you will see the pending invite to the folder you were invited to on the All Files page.
- This NEW Box account that the previously non-Box User created did NOT need to confirm their email. For this particular flow, you do not need to confirm your email address.
Issue:
- If the new Box User logs out of Box and returns to the folder invitation email and re-clicks "Accept Invite" to the folder they were invited to, they get sent to this "Let's Get Started" page (https://app.box.com/s/ibsukb6tvqulfijov3cilzvklwrmnqee) and then the login process is awkward.
- For some reason, the new user gets re-directed to the 'let's get started' page instead of a login page.Current scenario:
- Invited a non-Box user to a folder (in regular Chrome Window)
- Non-Box user went to their email and clicked on "Accept Invite" (Went on an - Incognito browser to complete the flow for the Non-Box User account)
- Non-Box User is sent to a "Box Collaborator Sign Up" page so that they can create a new Box account - (looks like this - https://app.box.com/s/5www70u7wuo4x3myb5w5yf91kdwi5c5g)
- After entering info, click "Submit"
- Immediately re-directed to your new Box account
- In your new Box account, you will see the pending invite to the folder you were invited to on the All Files…
3 votesThank you for this highlight!
This is a bit awkward, but not a high priority to fix given our team’s current priorities. We will reconsider with additional demand.

While we don’t have any current plans to support this feature, I would recommend the following workaround to use the ‘Description’ field that appears at the top of a folder. You can even add hyperlinks into the description! More information is available here: https://community.box.com/t5/How-to-Guides-for-Migrating-and/Adding-Descriptions-to-Folders-and-Files/ta-p/58565

Drag and drop into subfolders
This functionality was available in the old UI but not in the new UI. It is causing a lot of extra work for our admins.
They now have to click down directly into subfolders before they can drag and drop to upload the files in the correct folder.

Create a group of previously created groups aka nested groups
We have a group of providers that we would like to make a larger super-group of the nested smaller groups instead of adding each individual user
30 votesAt this time, we are developing solutions for using groups to grant access to apps and enterprise settings. https://pulse.box.com/forums/909778/suggestions/36670615
Supporting nested groups may be a longer term vision that we consider after solving the first problem above.

Trigger a Box error when insufficient permissions to open a file in Box Drive
Right now, if you attempt to open a file from your Box Drive that you do not have download permissions to, it will throw a local application error and not a Box error indicating a permission issue.
From the end user perspective, this would indicate there was something wrong with this file or Box Drive failed to open.

Add Ability to 'Open with Office Online' via Box Drive
Users are not currently able to edit/open files to Office Online (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Online) from Box Sync / Box Drive
The key use case of this is to allow users to enter into co-authoring mode when starting in Box for Desktop.
REQUEST: Add an 'open in Office Online' option in the right-click menu for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files when in the Box for Desktop file system.
14 votesThis is currently not planned, but we will consider with additional customer demand.
