Not delete data flagged as "make available offline" when Box Drive is closed/logged out
Currently if data is generated and saved locally on a machine into the Box Drive folder, exiting or logging out of the Box Drive application will delete the local data on the machine, even if the folder it is saved into is marked to "make available offline".
We are a small physics research laboratory currently trying to migrate our data collection and storage from Dropbox to Box. We were disheartened to discover that if data is generated on a local machine, by collecting and saving it directly into the Box Drive folder, say, and Box Drive is logged out (by an errant user perhaps) the local copy of the data is not preserved. This seems to present a great deal of risk as if a set of files, just collected, were not yet synced and an inadvertent closure/logout of box drive occurred the data would be lost. Or, more likely a large repository of data which must both be kept on a local machine and backed up to the cloud service would have to be inconveniently re-downloaded after any logout. A setting to prevent this behavior would be greatly appreciated.

Ability to customize collaborator privilege
Want to automate the task of "when the viewer / uploader notices the need to update a particular locked file, ask the editor to confirm and approve the file update"?
To do this, from the perspective of user permissions, you need collaborator permissions that remove one permission from the viewer / uploader and grant one permission.-Collaborator authority that grants manual workflow startup authority to viewer / uploader authority and cannot unlock files.
By realizing this authority, the following workflow can be automated in combination with Box Relay.
(1) Lock the approved document managed by the editor.
(2) The viewer / uploader notices the need to update the file.
(3) The viewer / uploader starts a manual workflow for the file.
(4) The information is notified to the editor by Box Relay, and the editor confirms the content and approves the work.
(5) The file lock is released by Box Relay.
Box Relay assigns a task to the viewer / uploader that invokes the manual workflow.
(6) After the work is completed, the viewer / uploader presses the task completion button to proceed with the workflow.
(7) The editor confirms the contents and approves the file.
(8) Approved files are locked again by Box relay. The above is a specific story, but in general there are only 7 collaborator privileges, so many BOX users may have tasks that they want to perform but cannot. There is a possibility that all can be solved by creating a customizable collaborator privilege that allows each item to be set freely.

Continuous Capture Most Recent Folders
When using Continuous capture, it would be great if most recent folders were selectable in the folder navigation.

Continuous Capture Zoom Out iOS
In continuous capture in the Box iOS app, the amount you are able to zoom out is limited, compared to when using the general camera on phones. It would be great if this limit did not exist.
Note: When using a single photo mode (not continuous capture), this zoom out limitation does not seem to exist.

The option to separate file and folder permissions for a specific folder tree.
We have a folder structure that we use for our external partners where each external entity has their own subfolder. Our internal user community needs Editor permission to manage the files – move, delete, and rename but that gives them the ability to accidentally drag one external partner’s folder into a direct competitor’s folder. This would be a disaster. If I could give our internal users File-Editor and Folder-Viewer Uploader permissions the likelihood of the above mistake would drop significantly.

Box Sign - Add a login button to the page
When clicking a Box Sign link from an email, if the user is not logged into Box in the browser session, the user cannot access saved signatures. A link should be added to the Sign page to allow logging in directly. Currently, the work around is to close the tab, open a new tab, visit app.box.com, sign in, and then re-click the link or navigate to the document. It would save a few clicks to add a sign in link to either the saved signature tab or to the top of the sign page.

Box Relay: Allow File Requests to be "returned" and resubmitted
It would be great if Box Relay had a feature for workflows triggered by a File Request to be "returned" for edits. The Workflow Starter could revise and resubmit their files without seeing other applicants submissions within the same submission folder or resubmit to the same file request link and overwrite their previous version.
Right now they have to resubmit and their original version is retained. The resubmission would overwrite the old version so there aren't two or more separate versions within a given folder. It is confusing for committees who go through many rounds of revision to have multiple versions of the same file.

Get separate (mapped) shared links for a large number of files under a shared folder
I am trying to generate separate shared links for a large number of files (1000+) under a folder, and map them to their original file name, so I can share these files separately.
But we can only do that either by the whole folder (not what we want), or by selecting files one by one (too time-consuming).
We hope there will be a function when you share a folder, we can also have the option to generate separate share links for each of the files under the folder, and a corresponding mapping file is generated automatically.

Allow stricter control of file deletes
We require the facility to prevent users from deleting files but allow them to Upload a new file version that has a different name to the current one. This is because our standard file name format includes our own version number. We had hoped that Viewer/Uploader permission would allow this, but it doesn't .

Multiple-Use Refresh Token
The single-use refresh token for authentication has made integrating our web app with Box far more complicated than for other file-sharing platforms. A way for approved developers to obtain a multiple-use refresh token would be of great value.

Enable ability to customize the notification that is triggered during a Box Relay workflow
Enable ability to customize the notification that is triggered during a Box Relay workflow.
E.g. if an approval task is approved, I want to notify whoever submitted the content for approval AND potentially other relevant parties that their submission was approved, but I also want to potentially customize the notification (e.g. it was approved for x, y, and z reasons).
E.g. if an approval task is denied, I want to notify whoever submitted the content for approval AND potentially other relevant parties that their submission was denied, but I also want to potentially customize the notification (e.g. it was denied for x, y, and z reasons).

Date and Signature paired when being dragged into Box Sign doc
Can we have customers pull the date and signature at the same time onto the document? Have heard some feedback that pulling the two fields separately might be an issue when scaling up the use case.

We want to be able to output a log of access to a folder as a report
We want to prohibit access to folders with each access right more than necessary.
We want you to add a function that can acquire the access log to the folder as a monitoring method for that.supplement:
We are not considering removing access rights as a way to ban access.
We strongly hope for this feature as a way to monitor it.(Japan)

Create the folder settings that allows only owners to create subfolders
<We want you to add a feature to the folder settings that "only owners can create subfolders">
By adding this feature, we can prohibit the creation of folders while granting invitation rights.
This will prevent collaborators with co-owner and lower permissions from creating folders, which will prevent unnecessary subfolders from being created and will be easier to control.<フォルダの設定に「サブフォルダを作成できるのは所有者のみ」という設定を追加してほしい>
この機能を追加することで、招待権限を与えつつフォルダの作成を禁止することができます。
これにより共同所有者以下の権限をもつコラボレータはフォルダを作成することができなくなるため、不要なサブフォルダの作成ができなくなり統制がしやすくなります。2 votes -
Drag to re-order lists and tables in Box Notes
I use lists in Box Notes quite frequently for lists of tasks or priorities. After entering the list items, I often wish to reorder the items. If you could add a simple drag to re-order list items behavior, lists would be a far more useful capability within notes.
This same drag to re-order functionality would also be very useful in tables within Box Notes
The best implementation that I have seen is in the OSX notes app, where a faint grabber icon appears next to the row and column of a table that you are editing. You can re-order rows or columns simply by dragging this grabber icon.
